Tea and Ruins of El Oleonda

Extracts from Don Fernando de la Izquierda's log :

Year 620, Month of April, the 11th :

I reached the famous island of El Oleonda with my faithfull bodyguard, Sancho Panacea. Today, we managed to ride an unexplored part of the island not far from the Carnite Settlement we were hosted.

The Flora here is amazing and full of colourful new essences. But what attracted my look was more hidden...

I remarked a hilly formation that seemed abnormal for this relatively plane and swampy part of the forest. From days now, we were mostly accustomed by humid areas were the risk at loosing your boots were great !

So riding upon this hilly formation I noticed it was the rests of a human building ! There was the proof right here, in front of me, that the island was once populated !

Of Course the swamps had done their job all over and Sancho took care that no big cat or another predator would come to annoy me...

Thanks to his protection I managed to identify the plants that seemed to be left behind by this lost civilisation : Tea !

The Lotus Kingdom is probably here because of these Tea plants left behind by this lost civilisation !

That's why they try to conquer el Oleonda ! They have probably some links with those past ruins...

Year 620, Month of April, the 13th :

After consigning and registering all my discoveries; I returned to the Hilly ruins where I first discovered the Tea plants.

What was my surprise when I discovered I wasn't alone now...

A Carnite officer with his escort were inspecting the ruins in order to find a lost entrance to find riches !

The fools ! They would distroy the area; and with that, all the conditions for the Tea Leaves to develop... I can understand now why the Loti are against them !

I collected quickly a sample of the Tea Plants and decided to leave this area before it becomes a battlefield.

Amazing ruins and good story! So you're saying an empire travels half the world starting war just for tea? That's ridiculious! Oh wait :roflmao:

Thank you so much ! For this built and those wonderful palmtrees, and for the story ( and the ideas it gave to me )

You're welcome. And thank you for your comment.

I can't see the pics, interesting story though.

Strange you cannot see them. I used Imgur like I am doing now and it appears the others can see the pictures. Are you sure it is not a problem from your system ?

Ah; I didn't know... My Flickr account is at full capacity and I don't want to pay to extend it, sorry. It was better with FlickR before they change the free usage of it...

Quite nicely done, @Faladrin, the palm trees and ruins are both great, and I really enjoyed your story!    I think the landscape would improve from more curves and smoother transitions (although you do have some great ideas with the sloping plates ), and it's a great idea to gather some tips from nature for your foliage - like, darker green plants are usually under the brighter greens, for example.  But that flamingo looks great here, and I am definitely a fan of those white/yellow and lavender/yellow flowers!

Also, congrats on your promotion to Regulator! :pir-sweet:  Well deserved!

Thank you !

Glad you like my flowers. I've always loved to create new vegetation with new parts usage...
