Vissova Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 I moved to a new PC with Windows 10 fairly recently and reinstalled programs I had on my old PC, one of which was LDD. But I just can't get it to work and haven't found any info online that's helped me. It doesn't matter what version I install, it starts up with an "unable to connect to the internet" message and a significant amount of parts missing from the library, as well as several thumbnails in the library being replaced with a 2x1 brick with a question mark. Is there anything I can do? I haven't found any solutions. I'd rather not switch to Stud.io because I find it less user-friendly and quick than LDD, personally. Quote
SylvainLS Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 If you get an outdated parts library with missing parts, it’s because you’ve installed 4.3.12. 4.3.12 isn’t a real 4.3.12, it’s 4.3.11 with an outdated parts library tweaked to install on Windows 10. Get a real 4.3.11 and use the tricks described in the thread below to install it on Windows 10: Quote
Vissova Posted April 11, 2020 Author Posted April 11, 2020 Thank you! Mike89423's guide worked. The .lxf files aren't associating with LDD and I don't know how to fix that, but at least LDD is actually working. Quote

This is how you should be able to fix that "associating files with programs windows 10" (it is more a Windows thing than LDD). Quote
Shroud Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 I thought that about stud.io until I used it for the bricklink competition, would never go back now Quote
