You can use System bricks for doors, although you would probably not see that in a Technic model. I prefer Technic, but it's up to you.

@I_Igor I think you need some form of bodywork to come part way up the door but whether it’s liftarms or panels you’ll have to widen the body behind the seats to attach these. Or you could make them flow into a partial rear wheel arch

I was thinking to make rear part one stud wider on each side and to make suicide doors...

Thanks for fast answer, I'll see what to do; as I already posted I was thinking to widen a bit rear part (like @Seasider suggested) and put suicide doors

This one looks like rear part of cab Is a  bit wider (or is it just a perspective?)

I think you’re right. It looks like the body is widest in line with the seat back and then narrows again towards the rear of the car.

cool looking hot rod in that pic

You know me I like classics, my newer car has to much plastic and thin metal for my taste ... and classics with hand made bodywork have a kind of soul IMHO... For upcoming weekend I'll make some sketches and when few parts arrive I'll widen this part.

Looks good, very clean.

so you decided to use liftarms instead of a panel for the doors. I like how you squeezed the anniversary liftarms in

I was just trying to implement your suggestion how to make half stud wider cab on each side. Thanks :sweet:

My goal was to make simple model; but in the meantime I have found out how to use 43.2 tire in truck rim to make classis Ford F-1 truck rod (in future)

I usually like streamliners from late 1930s, customs and truck rods, but few weeks before TC18 I saw one beautiful white convertible like the one I made (of course original is much much nicer than my). As older I become, the more I like those simpler vehicles (or is it due to constant brakedowns of modern cars).

Regards ?
