Hello. Some pointers please

Hi all, just joined. Hope you are all keeping well.

 I have recently taken delivery of 42110 Land Rover defender. Really looking forward to getting started on it. I have heard a few horror stories about the gearbox cracking and engine not working. Something to do with the UJ alignment? Is this something people are doing wrong or are the instructions incorrct or unclear?

Any advice/pointer welcome.
