brickphisto Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Usually not being a Technic builder I recently got into Technic trying to motorize a 16-wide scale model. My entry will be my first ever complete Technic moc so please do not expect too much. However I like to create something unique: So I decided not to go for a real car but a classic Lego car. There was only one choice: The legendary 8880. Of course I know Attika's incredible 8880 evo as well as the Arvo brothers' mini 8880. But the scale given in this contest is somewhere inbetween. Since I cannot implement all functions at this scale I decided for this choice of functions: working steering wheel (done) and hog steering (to do) (Ackermann; only front axle) suspension(independent; only rear axle) (done) working V8 fake engine with cooling fan (done) folding headlights (to do) Apart from these basic functions I try to build the bodywork as close to 8880 as possible. zux Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 (edited) There is already a strong feel of 8880. Good luck with the rest! Edited April 1, 2020 by zux Quote
Gray Gear Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 It will be intresting to see how you'll do the pop-up headlights. The price of them being so incredibly cool when they work is that they are a pain in the @ss to create. Quote
NoEXIST Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 Its a pity that the model was not finished, the idea is quite interesting Quote
