Hi,

I'm new here just registered and let me just start by saying that I have a deep respect for this community and I hope my simple question doesn't offend you. I'm a millennial and a father of a 2 and a 4 year old and I've always loved Lego Duplos, I had some when I was a kid, but it was never enough to build anything really significant. Now I notice after buying some 8 sets for my kids I'm shocked how few pieces there still is for building even a simple building. Just now I was building a small 20x20 Duplo dot (forgive me for not knowing the correct term) building and noticed we still have nowhere near enough of the basic pieces, sure we have wind mills, ice cream carts, slides and umbrellas, but what can you do with just a few dozen 2x4s?

I hope I'm in the right section asking this I did try to search for similar topics to figure out. My question is does anyone know of a good place or set name or something to point me towards procuring a larger amount of just basic Duplo pieces such as 2x2s and especially 2x4s? Ideally I would like to procure at least 80 2x4 Duplo pieces preferably more than 100 with minimal amount of other various more complex pieces. Preferably I would like to have LEGO original pieces as I had some cheap knockoffs when I was a kid and didn't particularly like them and feel they didn't mix well with the original pieces.

TL/DR: Where to buy a whole bunch of basic Duplo pieces, especially 2x4s?

Thank you

Being From USA, this advice may not help. "Bricklink", If you can find a store that carries a large stock of Duplo. "Ebay" and "Amazon" are good too. Your 4 year old may be ready for Legos and your 2 year old is not too many years from them either. Not all kids are the same but my kids were into the Legos by 3 years of age ( small $3 sets).

Hey @Nurkas You can look into these sets:

https://brickset.com/sets/10909-1/Heart-Box

https://brickset.com/sets/10913-1/Brick-Box

https://brickset.com/sets/10914-1/Deluxe-Brick-Box

I have one of the older boxes from 2017 and it was a good source of general bricks for my daughter (4 y.o.). That being said, she uses 1/10th of our collection anyway, and small and simple builds bring her more joy than large ones for some reason. I already started transitioning her to Lego System.

Thank you everyone for your replies, I went through all of the sites that you gracefully suggested and ended up ordering a whole bunch of bricks!

Cheers! :)
