Nashnet Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Hi, everyone. I am a middle-aged man from China(PRC). Since I was a kid, there was no Lego or alike in this country. In that age of full of imagination, I even created battleship by discarded polyfoam, so there is no dark period in my life at all because I never know what the light looks like. Now I have my own kid, I just don't wanna him(and me) miss these omnipotent tools of creation. People in the north of America or Europe may not know how hard the Chinese to be a creator or maker. Hardly people have leisure or mind to moc or even just play Lego. Not only brick designers but also creating in all industries are not respected. if you dare to release the blueprint of your MOC, you will find your creation on the E-shop next week and nobody will contact you. I like train Moc since my kid is a train enthusiast and all the machines like WW weapons or inspiration bursting. I am a little bit paranoid, often go to extreme design when moccing. It would take more time for me in a MOC, and I just wanna do something for creators more than just post MOCs here. Let's make friends. There is no such professional and comprehensive forums like EB in the Chinese community. Very happy to find this wonderful place and meet all your guys. Nash Quote
JopieK Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Welcome Nashnet, I think you will find a lot of people here that might have the same concerns so you will feel right at home, but of course don't stop being creative, (that is what LEGO is all about for me at least). The world has become a town and that has a lot of advantages (like how fun is it to communicate with other enthusiasts all around the world about our hobby), but of course also draw-backs you like things you mention.
