marvelBoy123 Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 NW Map : H2 - The Coastal forests and swamps of Alsarh Alsarhian intelligence officials have been working round the clock since the attack on the Brick of Nations, uncovering information about the GLA and their supporters. Finally a location was pinpointed, a small base in the dense forests of Alsarh in which they were storing supplies and sending propaganda transmissions to across the brick world. An Alkapba squadron was sent in supported by a WMC-5. While other nations opted for Humvees, Alsarh had developed their own heavily armoured multi-purpose SUV and this was the perfect opportunity to try it out. The assault was quick, their facility was a bunker in a rock face and, while they sent out a few troops, it was clear that they were out-gunned. http://GBW - Operation Valiant sweep by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://GBW - Operation Valiant sweep by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://GBW - Operation Valiant sweep by marvelBoy123, on Flickr Then we moved to take the bunker itself, the last of the rebels - and quite probably the leader - had remained inside during the firefight. He had destroyed what evidence of their activities he could, then had taken his own life in order to prevent us gaining information from him. Still, we had surprised them alright and there was still much evidence that we could gather, the mission had been a success but this was by no means the end... Spoiler http://GBW - Operation Valiant sweep by marvelBoy123, on Flickr An Overview http://WMC-5 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr The WMC-5, as I have mentioned before has working front steering and suspension, opening doors, an opening boot, space for a driver and a passenger as well as a large storage area for supplies (it could also fit two injured soldiers on stretchers. The vehicle is experimental with different camo patterns on each side (some are pixel cams, some lines, others more classical). It has non functional details too such as the turret, windscreen wipers, smoke grenade launchers and a raised rear exhaust allowing it to travel through deep water. It is based off the Eagle IV. Wow, this has been months of work but it is finally here. There hasn't really been a singular focus to this, the functionality of the vehicle is something that I am pretty proud of, there is a lot of SNOT landscaping, plenty of vegetation and I'm even pretty pleased with the interior of the bunker too. In a sense though, this really is an entire years work because I have tried to combine the best features of many of my earlier builds as well as really trying to cover as much previous feedback as possible (the ground on this one does rise up in layers from the water unlike in the broken bridge ambush @TheBeeze ) as well as using what I have learnt from other non military mocs. I really hope you like this and PLEASE, feedback does mean a lot to me, it's the barrier to my improvement and in the next year if I could come on half as much as I have in the previous year, I would be really happy! Thanks, Quote
SATSOK Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 nice work i would make it in a larger plate too much info stuck too close Awesome work on the vehicle <3 !!!!! Quote
marvelBoy123 Posted March 3, 2020 Author Posted March 3, 2020 Yeah, would have gone larger, just ran out of brown plates ! Quote
TheBeeze Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 You’ve been awarded ( 7 ) points. Judges’ comments… This build had potential to be something really special but it was just a hair too small to fit the detail here. The vehicle is nice, the entrance is very detailed, and you did a nice job layering the landscape. Next time I'd suggest starting with a 48x48 baseplate. Same thing again with the lighting. Definitely getting better. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing! Quote
