I see the shortcomings of this set's looks more a limitation of Technic, combined with the scale. You could probably do much better either with System parts for the exterior, or by scaling it to similar to that of the Bugatti or Porsche. I'm pretty sure it's next to impossible to capture the subtle curvature of the real car in this scale with mostly Technic parts.

I ordered the 42111 set @ 5th of april.
The lego official site says that the order is "in progress" while it promised to reach me before 27th..
Even if they sent the set right now, it wouldn't reach me before 27th.

I sent them an email and they don't respond.

Poor service. Will not order ever again.

I just checked on the Lego site and it has a communication concerning COVID-19 where it states the following: “We’re still shipping LEGO.com orders, but deliveries are likely to take longer right now.”

We are living exceptional circumstances, I think we will all have to be patient ...

@Mechbuilds just out of curiosity, where does the site promise the exact shipping date? It says "Coming Soon on 27 April 2020", but shipping is not specificed.

If you were not a slowpoke, they had an preorder deal to ship the 42111 to you before 27th.
Looks like i'll be buying the 42111 from the store instead.. Because my order is still stuck at "processing"

I think there is a ideal word in this case - patience...it will come; look my situation, due to disk failure I can not work from home using laptop and must use phone... delivery is scheduled at the begining of May despite I'm some 50 miles away!

I also preordered the set at the moment when it became available and it was never stated they'll send it before the release date.

They will definitely not send out before the official release - just like you can not buy them officially from shops either (don't mention the rule breakers/mistakes, please). No surprises here.

Well when i ordered it said that it will be shipped out before 27th.
I wish i had taken a screenshot but it did say it will be shipped before 27..

"Lähetetään 27 huhtikuuta mennessä" in finnish.

It's interesting because Google Translate says that means "will be sent by April 27th", which is up until and including the 27th, and that's only the date of shipping and not the arrival. Maybe whoever wrote that e-mail also used Google translate from English to Finnish and did not care about the subtle difference if there's any :) Btw Lego.com never sends out sets before the official release date, it's available in the US for some weeks now because Walmart does not care about the release date.

For once, Google Translate is correct. If they ship it no later than 27th of April, they have kept their word.

@Mechbuilds dont know how you payed, but from what i understand if you use a creditcard, it isnt charged untill the order is shipped out.

Either way, i dont deal with lego's shop unless i have to (like the Fiat 500 being S@H exclusive), i find that other webships are often much quicker and cheaper, and have better websites to deal with. At launch it usually takes a while for stock to show up at other sellers, but im fine with waiting a week or so after launch, id rather order it a week later and have it the next day then having to wait for three-four days for lego to get the order to me.

Yeah. When i asked about the preorder thing earlier, nobody answered. I think i asked 2 or 3 times.. But now when i'm complaining about it because i didn't get any info how it works, now suddenly everybody is an expert.

EDIT:
So in future reference, preordering is not getting it before everyone else does. Preordering is just paying for the thing in advance.
So basically you don't get it before others, you in fact get it later than others. Because it's already available in stores, yet i have to wait 5-7 days for postage till it arrives.
Sure i didn't need to pay for the postage, but i could have just waited till it was available at a store. Won't be ordering from lego anymore.

I don't know if this subject was ever brought up.. Is it me or paave's LEGO Art from YouTube video of his muscle car from a few years ago has a very similar style of build even though its on a smaller scale... of a muscle car.. its almost the same at some areas..   Great designer overall!!!....

has a very similar style

Of course it is similar, as the same car was modeled. Also, there are not so much possible combinations of panels for technic. Other story are brick, there is much bigger variety of bricks and then their possible combinations. At the moment I'm build 4th car from creator expert series, and I'm again enjoying build. Each of them I really enjoyed. In fact ucs millenium falcon is not so exciting. Last technic model which I really enjoyed building was arocs.

Building style.. the way Technic is built  ..... Almost the same suspension as in how its built???  maybe and the front suspension type that Lego haven't used in a set in a while..

100% truth. The given size makes no choice here: the limited track width doesn't allow use of any type of longer suspension arms for the front axle, plus there is only the single steering hub presented in this scale. The rear "live axle" - also makes no choice if you would like to use the diff.
