HOLY HOLYHEAD HARPIES, what if Kingnono was telling the truth?  Remember they said there was going to be an iconic underground scene released along with Diagon Alley?  *huh*

I wish that would happen but I find it extremely unlikely for a few reasons.

1. during the question event they said that it was because of a special set not 2 special sets

2. Why would they release it separately from DA if it will connect and fit in.

3. For some people affording DA is hard, so if they see a smaller set that is basically the most important part wouldn't they pay 100 dollars for that instead of 400 dollars for the rest of DA?

Thought about that as well but there has been too much false information to really believe this...

I do not agree, it would be like the alternative models of old sets or creator 3 in 1. With Pirates of Barricuda Bay you have to choose, build one, build one and then the other or buy two. From what I heard they have only gotten praise for that approach :shrug_oh_well: I do not think that is a problem if we get instructions and stickers for twice as many shops as we normally would for that price. However that would be a lot more complicated than the pirates set where they remove some parts and add some others and Bob's your uncle :sceptic:

I agree about Barricuda Bay, but Diagon Alley would work completely different. The Bay is roughly speaking basically the same build but arranged differently. Switching between the two is relatively easy and will take only minutes of your time. Like you said, DA will be a lot more complicated. You'll basically have to build an entirely different building, and the stickers cause you to not be able to switch between them easily.

I mean it might happen, certainly a possibility, but it won't be as user friendly as the bay. We've seen the reactions of people having maybe to buy gringotts separately. Just imagine the reaction if on top of that they'll also have to buy a second 400 diagon alley xD.

And honestly if they approach it as a 2 in 1 set I'll doubt Gringotts will be one of the options. The building requires way too many different stones compared to the other shops. I mean I believe it's the only white building on the street.

Well I guess there still was this vague rumor about a store exclusive set, then rumored to be the ministry. Can't remember the set number but it was still up in the air which set number was diagon alley and which wasn't. Just imagine them both being the alley xD. Although I don't think that rumor had any credible sources behind it.

Nonononononono. He who must not be named was wrong about absolutely everything. You know who's second account double proved that with the release of the cmf series.

If a Gringotts set came out alongside DA, now THAT would be something *oh2* best of both worlds except for those who have $400 but not $500 lol

Well, I think that's gonna be what happens, whether Kingno-not-be-named was right or just had a lucky guess.  Every single one of my predictions has been wrong so far, so I have nothing to lose by making another one.

Just a heads up for the CMF: Promobricks will release more pics of the CMF this weekend

Well at least that’s something to look forward to. And they’ll show us all the back prints and alternate faces. :sweet:

I ordered the minifigures from The Minifigure Store UK.  Not too much of a markup from the US prices, and now I can just wait for a complete set to arrive in the mail.  The only downside is that now I might have difficulty paying for Diagon Alley if it has an "expansion pack," but oh well...I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Hey, I'm new here, but have been reading posts for a while. I haven't seen anything, and I don't know how much Lego does with cross-promotion things, but Wizards Unite sent out an interesting email the other day. For those who don't know, Wizards Unite is a mobile game set in the Harry Potter universe. The email said "For some mysterious reason the Calamity is surfacing memories of Diagon Alley and new students at Hogwarts, but this is surely more than a stroll down memory lane. This month, think back to your Standard Book of Spells, Grade 1 and help uncover the significance of these First Year flashbacks."

I don't know if this means anything really, but the fact they mention Diagon Alley and it being more than a stroll down memory lane, might be something. The event ends on August 18, so that could be the day or on the 19th for a reveal, maybe. Honestly, I am just trying to find something to look for haha, and I don't know if this would be it or not, just a thought. Excited for the set either way.

Hmm...I doubt there's a connection, but it's a very compelling teaser nonetheless!
Welcome to Eurobricks, and now you can be part of the madness of baseless speculation about rumored sets!

That doesn't sound impossible tbh. I don't know if they've done something like that before but I think it would be a good way to reveal it.

Hi all, officially new here but been reading the forums since the HP theme reboot in 2018.

RE Gringotts: I just want to put out there that we have one Goblin (Griphook) in the leaked CMF. To include a Goblin there without having Gringotts or any other place where he could go in the line-up of sets would make no sense (to me at least). The sword of Gryffindor is another CMF object I believe would fit perfectly with Gringotts... could be wrong of course. Happy to now officially be part of the forum!

Hello everyone, I found this forum during lockdown when you were all on about page 150 and it has provided me with much valuable information, and admittedly, much entertainment too!  I just decided to sign up today so that I can ask a question.  The minifigure store website mentioned in this member's message looks great and I am about to pre-order too since it is impossible to get anything Lego Harry Potter in Canada it seems (still just says 'coming soon' even on the sets) and I figure my best bet is to do i this way.  Are there any other websites people can recommend maybe closer to home for me that would ship a whole set of the 16 pieces of CMF 2?  And just a bit of background, I have got back into Lego again as a 37 yr old Dad of a 6 yr old daughter and she was my excuse to collect HP Lego.  I basically have every piece of this new wave going back to the new Great Hall and almost every minifigure too.  I also collect D2C sets from movies I liked as a kid, so the T Rex, Batmobile, Ghostbusters HQ, Tower of Orthanc (just got that a few days ago!) and latest UCS Millennium Falcon and am lucky enough to have a whole spare bedroom in our house to display them all  . Nice to meet you all!

EDIT, sorry I was quoting Roguetwo and it seems it didn't insert:

Welcome to the forum! I also found it during lockdown and I'm glad I did :sweet:. I was just looking into places to order the full set, and I found this tweet from Minifigure Madness last week that said they'll have a full box up for pre-order soon. That would be 60 figures, not just the 16 unique ones, but I'm assuming the per-minifig price will be cheaper.

Hi, nice to meet you too!  Supposedly all the sets, Diagon Alley, and the CMF 2 will be available across North America beginning September 1.  I was impatient and didn't want to take any chances, so I decided to order from The Minifigure Store.  They're the only ones I've seen selling the figures so far, but I'm sure there will be more options soon.  Two years ago, I ordered the entire series 1 for a decent price from a random, reputable eBay seller.

Thanks!  The UK website can get me a set here shipped for about $110 CDN, it would cost me $345 for the box from TRU or somewhere like that based on $4.99 per bag plus tax.  I could then of course sell sets on ebay ( I live on US border so could mail in the US to open me up to US ebay market) to pull back the cost, maybe even making enough to offset some of the figures I keep and in a pre-Covid world that is exactly what I would have done...but who can be bothered with that kind of thing anymore, especially since I can't cross the border!

Thank you, great to be here, it is like standing up at a meeting that I have been observing for months and feel brave enough to say "hello, I am Chris, and I have a lego problem and a forum addiction :) ".  I am happy to wait for the regular sets and DA and buy them on legoshop Canada with my VIP points but they don't give you access to the CMF right?  Or am I wrong?  Can I get a box direct from lego?

My concern is that living in rural Canada, a full 90 minute drive to even get to somewhere like a TRU who would have a box, only to find the 1 box they have is opened already and forcing me to have to feel the bags, and there is no way in a Covid world we want to be feeling up minifigure bags right without full hazmat gear!!!

He’s my favourite too! Always have a penchant for the tragic ones. And yes, they do, but judging by the stickers and leaked minifigs I think the set is going to be amazing!

I’ll be ordering a box of minifigs from  Minifigure Madness - normally I feel the bags but with the virus still present and shops accepting limited numbers of people ordering a box is just easier. I’ll want duplicates anyway.

Hi, another new member here.  I've been lurking for a while & finally joined.

To sum up I think we haven't seen all the stickers yet as none of the leaked pictures were on clear or foil backing.  As to the number order of stickers on the sheets it means absolutely nothing as there have been plenty of sets where higher numbered stickers get applied earlier in the build than lower number ones and many times not even in any sort of order.

On the subject of whether or not Gringotts is part of the set I'm in the camp of hoping it is a separate set.  I really don't want the quality of the rest of the shops to suffer because they need pieces to put towards Gringotts.  When I think of Diagon Alley the smaller shops are what I think of first and what I really want to see in detail.  While Gringotts is the big icon it definitely can stand on it's own as a separate build & imo should.  If they include it in this set I hope it's just a facade rather than the ultimate Gringotts build.  I agree that Diagon Alley isn't complete without Gringotts sitting at the end but I'm really hoping for the Shoppes of Diagon Alley with a separate full Gringotts set.  I'd also like to see a decent build of the Leaky Cauldron that would ultimately match up with the entry to Diagon Alley.

What's to say they don't actually announce two sets when the big reveal finally comes.

Personally I still believe we are getting Gringotts in Diagon Alley, everybody was doubting WWW was in it and lo and behold with a little mischief magic, it appeared. For an end all be all Diagon Alley set, it would be an extremely noticeable exclusion and a lot of people would feel cheated without it, especially casuals if we have to wait another year. And usually D2C add ons are usually another D2C, like Ninjago City and Docks, not a system scale set and vice versa. I think Gringotts, WWW, Ollivander’s, and Flourish and Blotts will probably be fully fleshed with the majority of the pieces so from 5,000 I’d say 3,500 pieces so about a 900 pieces a piece which should be more than enough to do those stores justice. Especially considering how well The Burrow was done at that piece range. The other 1,500 will probably go to facades like QQS since the memorable scene in the movie is Harry looking at the broomstick, Scribulus, Daily Prophet, and Florean’s since they really don’t get much screen time. Also throw in some vendor carts as well for some owls or something and you got the whole thing.

Looks like the latest leak is bringing out the whole gang  nice to see so many new faces!

I am going to be ok without Gringotts IF, and that’s a big if, there is a set next year that has a highly detailed Gringotts. Not a play set, like a legit D2C style in the same detail as the buildings in this set. If it’s just a one sided exterior with a dragon chase theme then I would rather separate that entirely from what this set is - a show piece. Still though, knowing that we would have to wait yet another year to finish what we thought we would be getting on September 1st is definitely a bit of a hype deflator.

Best case scenario imo is that this set is like 5500 pieces and we just get everything so everyone is happy :) I doubt we will get a full sized Leaky Cauldron though that seems to be the first to go.
