ks6349 Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Regardless of the fact that many of them only ship within their own countries, which region of eBay usually has, on average, by impression, better Lego deals? I've compared eBay USA and ebay UK, ebay Deutschland. My impression is ebay UK sellers usually offer the best deal, while USA sellers usually overprice. In fact, which region of eBay usually has the best deal?? Quote
TeriXeri Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 (edited) Big factor to look at are Import Taxes , Shipping Cost and eventual VAT before anything, as they don't often show just at Ebay itself, you have to calculate it depending on product and origin. It varies per country. Example for my country, if I order from outside the EU, I'd automaticly have to pay 21% VAT if it's from outside the EU, over €22, so a €22.01 purchase from for example a LEGO set from the USA would cost me €22.01 +21% = €26.63 instead. Even more complicated if Import Tax is added, which is another seperate calculation. Edited November 25, 2019 by TeriXeri Quote
MAB Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 When you consider that ebay is a massive collection of sellers, it does not make sense to say one is better than anywhere else. There will be good deals on all sites, and bad ones on all sites too. 12 hours ago, TeriXeri said: Example for my country, if I order from outside the EU, I'd automaticly have to pay 21% VAT if it's from outside the EU, over €22, so a €22.01 purchase from for example a LEGO set from the USA would cost me €22.01 +21% = €26.63 instead. For example, in the UK our limit is £15 before VAT is applied. If something costs £16 to import, then we have to pay £16 + 20%VAT (£3.20) + £8 processing fee. So that £16 item actually costs £27.20. The VAT is small compared to the additional fee charged to process the VAT. Quote
