Inventory help needed

I am looking for a brick inventory list for a 1962 Lego Samsonite set 704-3 canister.

I thought brickfactory might have it, but no, neither Rebrickable nor Brickset. I'm sorry, I'm not much help.

Here is what I have so far:

- Canister set 704 is from 1962, contains 165 pieces (pretty much all there I think...)

- All pieces should be cellulose acetate, with rare mix of ABS possible

- I am puzzling the inventory using the "what you can make with this set"

You might try sending a PM to Eurobricks member Gary Istok (Lego Historian).  His knowledge of early Lego sets is quite extensive and he has written an impressive tome of a historic Lego reference.  I'm willing to bet that if he can't answer your question directly, he'll at least have a few good pointers as to where to look next.

Google it. There are a lot of hits on this set. I did not find instructions or inventory.
