Fraunces Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 (edited) After the sinking of the Octopus and the capture of the Margaret (which was luckily returned to the Fraunces brothers), the need was urgent for another ship. Lothario bought a brand new brig a couple of weeks ago which arrived today in Tortuga: the Dragonfly, to enhance trading and to be better equipped for any attacks in the future. Spoiler Some minor changes were handled immediately by the carpenters Jansen & Jansen: The insides: ~Below decks the ship carries in her prime state 10 guns, and one more deck below that is where the crew sleeps. A crewmember can be seen in the hatch in this picture: Captain's cabin: The stern: The ship carries normally only 4 shivel guns for direct attack but is able to 10 guns on the main deck: I like her. Thanks for watching and C&C always welcome. Edited November 1, 2019 by Fraunces Quote
Bodi Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 A nice looking clipper...or brig? I like the colour scheme, the detailed captain cabin adds to the playability and nice job with the all-brick masts and sails. I guess the round bricks on the forestay are supposed to represent sails, I'm not an expert but I think normally they are rolled on the bowsprit. That's only a minor detail though. Quote
Captain Dee Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 As @Bodi says this is more brig than clipper, but classification notwithstanding, it's a pretty good vessel. Nice job with the interior and the furled-brick sails are nice. I also think the staysails would be rolled on the bowsprit; otherwise it's a fine setup. Quote
Fraunces Posted November 1, 2019 Author Posted November 1, 2019 @Captain Dee @Bodi, right, I didn't know. My knowledge of this ships is quite lacking, as I now see online you both are right. Brig seems like a better name for this type I agree. I changed it. Thanks for the comments! Quote
