I first started playing Lego in late 80s and forgot it in early 90s when I lost the interest in it. However, Lego has provided me a lot of unforgettable memory. My first beginning set was 6349. How about you? What is the set do you miss??

The 8880 Supercar.  I've had no shortage of Technic Muscle Cars since then, from the 8448 Super Street Sensation to the 42083 Bugatti Chiron and pretty much everything in between, but something about that beautiful, brick-built, black, studful car will always speak to me with a very unique voice.  It was leaving the shelves just as I was coming out of my dark age and if they re-released it today I'd happily buy several.

I'd say 8868 Airtech Claw Rig but my original set from 1992 is sitting in my shelf assembled so it's not really correct to say I "miss" it.

I could, however, say that I miss some of those sets from the time of my childhood which I never owned but always wanted, like 8480 Space Shuttle or 6973 Deep Freeze Defender. Those evoke much more nostalgia in me because I remember browsing the catalogs, hoping that I could one day own them. Haven't gotten around to actually getting them even now that I'm an adult, because 8480 in good condition is quite expensive (if even available, considering the degrading wires and motors) and 6973 doesn't seem that big thing anymore.

The 8480 Technic Space Shuttle is a great choice.  That set was instrumental in bringing me out of my dark age.  I still have it assembled on a shelf and I still remember putting it together and thinking to myself, "this is great, why did I ever stop doing doing this?" Then I remembered it was because I had to pay for college, but hey, that was then, this is now.

Between the fiber optics and the micro-motor, I doubt they'd ever re-release a set like this (they probably lost money on it the first time and just weren't paying enough attention to realize it when they set the price point) but it was still a great set.

For me it would be sets from the more classic themes  : Space, Castle, Pirates.

A return of something like Galactic Mediator (1992) would be amazing, I just like the style of such build a lot, the studs and angles just make it look a lot more like LEGO then some more modern Spaceships that use rounded parts all over it.

Benny's Spaceship from 2014 certainly had a modernized "classic" look to it, but I just missed that set during my non-LEGO time period. (I don't go back and buy sets via secondary market).

I never had a Space Police set, but did play a lot with Galaxy Explorer and later and Aquashark set with a bright neon orange cockpit, which I later combined into custom spaceships.

Castle would be Royal Knights Castle (1995): I had other sets of this theme which might be partly nostalgia, but overall, outside of the raised baseplate, this just seems like a very complete castle set, even if this has a somewhat open backside, that wasn't unusual for Castle sets at all, some could open up via hinges, others were just open at the back, even modern castles like Nexo Knights have more open back designs for play.

As for Pirates, I'd say any of the sets that weren't ships, but with Pirate Bay IDEAS set eventually coming, I'll wait that one out.

Although I recall that at the time I was more into Space (Blacktron II especially), the sets I feel most nostalgic about now are probably 1989's Shipwreck Island and 1994's Cabana Beach. For months now I've been telling myself I'll eventually do some "neo-Paradisa" MOCs, and Cabana Beach keeps popping into my head as an inspirational starting point. I probably even still have that multicolored baseplate somewhere in all my childhood LEGO bins at my mom's house... will need to do some digging on my next holiday weekend visit!

why Lego is not releasing Knights , castle, pirates- like stuff in recent years while there were so many such themes released in early 90s. I really like those themes.
