What is the Status of LEGO Constraction?

So, it's been quite a while already since we last had a full Constraction theme, and a about a year since we last had any Constraction sets, with the Star Wars buildable figures being the last ones we got.  What is the status of it? Is Constraction discontinued for good, or is it just taking a temporary break? 

I would like to get an official answer if possible.

Pffft, good luck with that, as it seems to me like TLG has pretty much forgotten about Eurobricks completely as a source of AFOL feedback.

You will need to contact LEGO if you want an official answer. Although chances are they will tell you that it's great that you are into Constraction sets but currently they have no sets on the market and that they would love to see them return like you but you will have to wait and see.

There was a Bionicle sticker in the Hidden Side bus set, but that could just be an Easter Egg.

Of course there's still the speculation about the "Leaf" theme having set numbers very close to the last Bionicle wave.

Bionicle has a section in the Lego house and plenty of references in sets 

Constraction, pretty much the same

But they are both gone, sadly
