Darnok Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 (edited) Nothing big to see here, jsut a small easter egg I noticed while building Ninjago City Docks these days. On the first floor, in the "family home", there is a picture of some adventurer on the underside of the upper bed. It is #12 on this sticker sheet: Now compare this to the "Jungle Explorer" from the current CMF Series 19: They are one and the same! I am not familiar with the Ninjago verse other than some of the sets, so don't know if this character had any mention in the TV series or the movie. A nice detail either way, and one more reason for me to get this minifig. P.S.: A friend notified me of Johnny Thunder, who shares literally all the same features. So apparently we got a "modern" Johnny Thunder in CMF form. Edited September 15, 2019 by Darnok Quote
Exetrius Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 Ninjago City is overflowing with all kinds of easter eggs (though it's a shame so little are printed)! The CMF is indeed widely regarded as a modern Johnny Thunder, but did you know LEGO actually released a modernized Johnny Thunder with the release of The LEGO Movie? Darnok Posted September 26, 2019 Author Posted September 26, 2019 I actually learned about that one when watching a review of the CMF series 19 the other day. Thanks for confirming it! Man, I wish I had been out of my Dark Ages when the first Lego Movie was around, so many awesome sets... Quote
TeriXeri Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Unrelated to this figure but in terms of "easter eggs", the Hidden Side bus set has a Bionicle sticker and we still don't know what the Leaf theme is, set numbers are the closest to the last wave of Bionicle. Quote
