Spud The Viking Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 (edited) Task 1: Redcoats Rule! Part 1: Reports of natives nearby the settlement of Spudkirk worried the colonists, so Spud sent out his officer William 'Billy' Boyne with a small detachment of soldiers to investigate. After following a small creek through the jungle, Billy Boyne ordered his men to halt and spread out across the bank of the river. There was a noise of the brushing of grass and trampling of twigs - something or someone was coming towards them at great speed. Officer Boyne gave the order to make ready. Shrieking natives burst through the greenery across the river. Unfaltering, Billy Boyne gave the order to open fire. A terrible cloud of smoke filled the area from the volley. The result was clear. William Boyne reported ordered the men to fall back to Spudkirk, as the gunfire would have alerted any other natives in the area. More pictures: Spoiler Edited July 6, 2019 by Spud The Viking Quote
Tezclatipoca Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Wow ! Now Corries are shooting at the Natives ! ouch ! Being a friend of the Natives, Felipe De La Manzana would desapproved. On another way, it's a difficult build to publish and I recognize your courage on that. Violent scenes against Natives were frequent those days and you rendered it quite well. Quote

Fraunces Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 I think you did a good job on the water and the action representation. Quote
Darnok Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 The local authorities do not approve. Nice build though! Quote
Bart Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 Fine example of Corry diplomatics But excellent execution of the whole scene. Quote
Bregir Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 Excellent little battlescene, Spud! While it may not have qualified for the GoC due to size, it certainly shows the redcoats in their glory, and I think you have conveyed action wonderfully! Quote
Captain Dee Posted October 14, 2019 Posted October 14, 2019 Well now... what have we here hear? Excellent action scene, and I love the use of lime green (or whatever it's "officially" called) as the base for the jungle. That alone enhances the build, methinks. Quote
