knotian Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 I'm not going to finish my big project for a while, so I was thinking of displaying the first part in an "under construction" format. I have been looking at mocs and can't really tell their true dimensions. Does any one have a crane like I want, or a link to the drawings/instructions to one. The Lego one would look too spindly. I saw one in a Lego City illustration but could never find the drawings. It should have a fixed base. And yes the Moc is tall Thanx for any help. Ed Quote
doug72 Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 (edited) This might be suitable or something similar its about 1m high. Something like this Terex luffing tower crane. It was my entry for the TC8 contest. The three M motors are located at the base to give lift / slew / luffing. No instructions but more can be found in the TC 8 contest from several years back. Edited June 25, 2019 by Doug72 Quote

knotian Posted June 25, 2019 Author Posted June 25, 2019 Thanks, that looks nice. I wasn't thinking of luffing but who knows I like the vertical construction. Since it will be static most of the time, the 7905 with a couple more segments and a second set of braces also looks good. Thanx, Ed Quote
allanp Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 I made this one over a weekend a while ago. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=6396070 It might be a bit big for minifig scale but you can add as many vertical segments as you need. Quote
