REVIEW: 60233 Donut Shop Opening

Here is my review on 60233 Donut Shop Opening.

THE GOOD:

• The coffee bike is my highlight for this set.
• Surprised with the detailed interior of the donut shop.
• The truck and the TV broadcast van are definitely some of the best small vehicle builds in recent time.
• Great selection of minifigures.
• New printed elements for the giant donut.

THE NOT SO GOOD:

• The taxi and toy shop are very bland.
• Slightly high price point.

Overall, this is a great addition to the city theme.  There are some surprising details scattered across differently build.  To be, the donut shop and the coffee bike are the best parts of this set.  The truck is also great even for a non-truck fan like me.  Now the price is a bit high and the toy shop & taxi really feel like being there to justify the price tag.  Given getting a discount off this set is fairly easy, I will still recommend this set for any lego fans.  Just a side note, this set is actually great family fun because each build has it own instruction booklet which allow simultaneous build between multiple people =)
