I always have a special preference for the creator 3in1 series because I personally don't have time to work on Expert sets which are often over two thousands pieces. 3in1 is like a simplified version of the Expert. I thought after Bike shop and Cafe 31026 they will not release similar sets with around 1000 pieces but after 5 years they finally release this set which is around 1000 pieces.

I have it on my radar, but I'm still kinda torn. It's a bit mundane and looks a bit messy. Well, in any case, I'm waiting for prices to drop and then we'll see how it goes...

Yes, easily, fits right in with other sets of previous years.

I personally have no problem with the open back designs of more recent 3-in-1 buildings.

Yeah, it's the exact same for me.

My creator 3in1 interest started from the Corner Deli, from then on I got all the other "shop styled" buildings (including Park Street Townhouse), and bluntly speaking the 31097 just doesn't hold up to those ones. Perhaps seeing it in person would change my mind...

Speaking of Corner Deli, this does feel a bit like that but bigger.

Corner Deli looked great from the outside, but the interior space was tiny when opened up, one of the top floors interior is like 2 studs deep

The Bank and Dentist/Hairdresser alternate builds also cannot be underestimated and I like those a lot more then in some of the smaller 3-in-1's from the past.

It's still selling at almost full price (80 Euro) due to only having been out a few weeks, which IMO is way too much. Around 60 Euro will be okay.

from the past experience, what is the lowest or "saturated" price of a new set ( % ) from the original full price?

Here in my country apprxo EUR 70 now, but I still have more than 5 sets to build so I can wait

I know the last larger 3-in-1 "House" set, the Family Villa dropped from €65 to around €40-45 at it's low, and it was sold for a long time around there, so I expect something here as well.

Similarly the Pirate Rollercoaster €85 start price, can still be found around €60 or below ever since a few months after it's launch.

30% discounts are quite common and if a set is around longer than a year this can go even lower, especially with Creator 3in1. In any case, I'm not in a rush and can bide my time.

If 50% off, then yes for a parts pack. Otherwise no.

I'm not sure who it is aimed at. As an AFOL, I'd prefer one decent modular than two of these. Whereas as a parent, there are many other sets my kids are interested in. But I guess there must be a market for them otherwise they wouldn't make them.
