efferman Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Well, my Scania SLT was only built to have a proper Transport solution for this one. Picture Source The scale will be roundabout at 1:16,7to fit to all the 19 wide Trucks out there. Width at the outside of the tracks will be 25 Studs. Wheelbase of the primary track Rollers will be 28 Studs, Height overall roundabout at 33 Studs. The length overall? I guess roundabout 75 Studs with Ripper. The main problem probably will be a proper raise height of the shield without destroy the look. Enough words. time for the first Progress Quote
jorgeopesi Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Maybe it should go to the Lego scale modeling forum, don´t you think?. Quote
Bricksley Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 (edited) It's nice to see that someone has taken up such an interesting topic, I have been preparing myself for some time to the dozer (another manufacturer), but it will be some time;) Knowing how interesting is the geometry of the blades in dozers and how difficult it is to construct real ones ;) I wonder how much you reproduce the movements of the blade: only lifting and tilting or full range: lifting, tilting and pitch? I will be happy to review the progress of work :) Edited May 26, 2019 by Bricksley Quote
efferman Posted May 26, 2019 Author Posted May 26, 2019 The pitch of the blade is on the to do list, but first i have to get the look and how much i can squeeze in it. Quote
M_longer Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Oh great, now I can take it off from my "to build" list :D Quote
efferman Posted May 26, 2019 Author Posted May 26, 2019 Why? Different , builders different approaches. Quote

That concrete beam transporter I was showing earlier is one of them. But I must say that looking at your ideas give me some motivation for building them :) Quote
efferman Posted May 26, 2019 Author Posted May 26, 2019 Sounds good. I had to rebuild the bonnet a bit too because the main angle was a bit to large. Quote

efferman Posted May 26, 2019 Author Posted May 26, 2019 Yeah, but much easier than replicate a Volvo FH in a proper way Quote
efferman Posted May 31, 2019 Author Posted May 31, 2019 Just ordered a 1:50 WSI Model of the PR 776 to make a proper replica. Quote
Kio Liex Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 Looks promising... I really like the scale you want to build it in. Quote
efferman Posted June 1, 2019 Author Posted June 1, 2019 The rough shape of the Cab is done at partcount 543. But the stability is not reall existing yet. PR776 01062019 by Michael Wirth, auf Flickr Quote

1gor Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 My question is which sprockets do you plan to use (since I did not look after sprockets size if real machine)? Quote
