BrickbyBrickTechnic Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 Hey everyone, I'm back with my latest MOC: the car transporter! It's a model I have been wanting to build for a really long time, and have actually attempted but failed once already. The MOC has 2 power functions and 3 pneumatic functions: Lowering upper platform (power) Lowering ramp (power) Raising platform on top of cab (pneumatic) Raising platform on deck (pneumatic) Tilting upper platform (pneumatic) There are also a lot of manual functions, like classics such as HoG steering, fake engine, suspension, and specific to this one unfolding the ramp. I also tried to add in as many details as possible, such as mirrors, lights, etc (and this is my first ever cab design). Video: That's it, thanks for reading/watching! I have something big coming up next :) BbBT Quote
grum64 Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 Excellent C model. With builds this good showing what else the parts of a set can become LEGO could add extra value to their (increasingly expensive) sets by designing a C model and making the instructions available as downloads. Quote
ukbajadave Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 This would be a great MOC on its own but to also be a C model of one set is impressive! I particularly like the details you've added, the fake engine fits very nicely and has convinced me my own MOC needs one too. Quote

Thanks grum! That is an excellent idea, I would love to see that. 15 hours ago, M_longer said: Where's its two axle trailer? If I had beams or wheels left after having built this there would have been one. 14 hours ago, ukbajadave said: This would be a great MOC on its own but to also be a C model of one set is impressive! etienne_diecast Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 Bumping this old thread. Were instructions ever released for this fantastic 42043 alternate model? It’s not offered on the OP’s rebrickable page and I’m unable to find details - thank you in advance Quote
