Cut to the headquarters:

800x558.jpg

[The Lieutenant was talking to the Marquis. Translation follows:]

There was a vulcanic eruption on Gunpowder Island.

   Lava?

Not much, apparently.

  Stones flying?

Not really.

   But an explosion?

Yes, with a lot of smoke.

This confirms my worst fears. This was no vulcanic eruption.
  This is far worse...

[The General enters.]

Lieutenant: We have reason to believe that the mountain of Gunpowder Island contains large quantities of Bananarite.
In fact, enormous quantities.

General: How much?

Lieutenant: Approximately more than 2.000 tons.

General: What? 2.000 tons?
If you bring so much Bananarite together it would certainly ...

Marquis:  ... explode.

Lieutenant: And that is exactly what happened today as we can see on this picture that has just come in.

800x943.jpg

General: How much Bananarite are we usually using to improve banana quality?

Marquis: Around 20.

General: Twenty what?

Marquis: Micro-ounces.

General: And now we have seen an explosion of 2.000 tons!

Lieutenant: Yes. 2.000 tons of aerosolic Bananarite will certainly lead to an enormous level of mutation on the island.

Marquis: The humans must be warned.

General: Yes. But for many, it will already be too late...

2000? You are sure it was not over 9000?

Nice build, that built painting of the explosion scene is brilliant. And all those subtle hints at bananas... :pir-grin::thumbup:

This is the most monkey-rrific scene I've ever seen. :pir-laugh: :monkey:

What goofus came up with "bananarite" anyway... oh wait... ooh ah!! :pir-grin:

What do you call those banana clusters? Banandaliers? Chandabanandas?

Is the banana-tiled floor a giant booby trap to slip up unwanted visitors? A room-wide BANANA (Break A Neck-Ankle-Nose, Area)?

Are the yellow columns monkey-guided, bananarite-fueled missiles?

It seems they're all monkeys of their word, except, of course, a certain someone, who is, in fact, a banana...

HELP!!

  Fantastic scene, Captain, love all the yellow everywhere, especially paired with the tan and the monkey faces!   The bananas above the doors are probably my favorite detail, but the wig looks great as well   And excellent job with the story, can't wait to see where this is going!

Haha you're build never fail to amuse. Great work on the monkey-details which have been mentioned by others already. Really looking forward to the next part :pir_laugh2::monkey:

So great.  I love how serious the tone is.   HQ looks really nice; great monkey & banana details throughout, and I like how you did the open scroll on the table.

Looking forward to seeing the results of this catastrophe!

Such a banana filled build!    The banana tiled floor is especially good.  I also really like your way of building a scroll!

Nice one! Especially the explosion painting and the banana on the floor as many wrote before, are killers!

Good that the picture can be recognised. I was not so sure when I started it. :pir-sweet:
