Governor Mister Phes Posted June 24, 2005 Governor Posted June 24, 2005 Browsing through eBay (as I do from time to time) I stumbled across an auction for this... (Yeah I know the pictures are too small) Link to Auction Has anyone seen this before or own it? Or know of where larger pictures can be found? Or if its compatible with LEGO? I think it looks pretty good from those small pictures... *glasses* Quote
Norro Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Most knock-offs are lego compatible... (no, no specific help.) :-D God Bless, Nathan Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted July 27, 2005 Author Governor Posted July 27, 2005 That makes perfect sense! This set appears to be ahead of its time as LEGO obviously didn't dabble with the Castle theme till the late 70's. It looks quite impressive actually. Quote
jonfett Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 This is a lego-like building system Did you see these pictures? Defintely an older brand, not Lego anyway. Jon. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted July 27, 2005 Author Governor Posted July 27, 2005 No Mr Fett, I haven't. These are good as they're close ups. You've done! Where did you find those? Quote
jonfett Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Due to the large number of enquires here are some links to more pictures of the castle:http://www.cms-support.com/ebay/castle/pic1.jpg http://www.cms-support.com/ebay/castle/pic2.jpg http://www.cms-support.com/ebay/castle/pic3.jpg http://www.cms-support.com/ebay/castle/pic4.jpg http://www.cms-support.com/ebay/castle/pic5.jpg http://www.cms-support.com/ebay/castle/pic6.jpg http://www.cms-support.com/ebay/castle/pic7.jpg http://www.cms-support.com/ebay/castle/pic8.jpg http://www.cms-support.com/ebay/castle/pic9.jpg My camera is not the best but hopefully these will do. Although the bricks look grey in the pictures, they actually have a beige and white swirl through them. Comparing to the cover of the instruction booklet there appears to be two turrets missing. There are heaps and heaps of bricks all sizes and shapes. ;) Jon. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted July 28, 2005 Author Governor Posted July 28, 2005 Oh Jon! You're a non LEGO Legend? If that makes sense This castle even has ghosts and cows! Quote
takuto20 Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 I recognise those big rounded studs! This is the EXIN CASTILLOS, from Spain! It is a classic toy in our country but the company ceased to exist long ago, so for the sake of nostalgia I think these must have a steep price in Ebay... Take a look at this google search. I hated those castles, by the way, I have to clarify *glasses* . Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted July 28, 2005 Author Governor Posted July 28, 2005 Is there any particular reason who hated those castles? Quote
takuto20 Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 Let's say Santa brings you this castle instead of the coolest Lego Pirate set or wathever you fancied that year... as a child, you just can't look at the bright side! *sing* Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted July 29, 2005 Author Governor Posted July 29, 2005 Freakin santa claus! He bought me Forbidden Island and Sabre Island one year then stopped coming after that... Quote
