Francis Marion Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 I would like to know what random accessories anyone else uses for their pirates. This includes special weapons, tools, etc. I am especially interested in smaller ones that would fit in an impulse set... Quote
Skipper 24 Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 I use muskets, pistols, home made telescopes seeming as there is no piece, crossbows I suggest you look at my entrys on the its a pirates life contest. links are in my sig Quote
Grakul Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Cutlasses, pistols, muskets, parrots, maps and jugs, shovels and pickaxes if I´m building a treasure hunt. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 24, 2008 Governor Posted April 24, 2008 Is this one of those "what pieces outside the Pirate theme could be used" threads? Quote
Fluyt Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Sextant, Compass, Food items etc. (and Crates/Barrels, Cannonballs if you consider these accesoires for minifigs) Quote
Shadows Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Is this one of those "what pieces outside the Pirate theme could be used" threads? I think it's actually an "I've finished my Impulse entry for A Pirate's Life! but have 3 more pieces left that I can use" thread. Quote
Francis Marion Posted April 24, 2008 Author Posted April 24, 2008 Is this one of those "what pieces outside the Pirate theme could be used" threads? Not necessarily, but obscure parts from the pirate line and other parts that could be used (such as tools) in piratically themed LEGO. Quote
Ricecracker Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 I think it's actually an "I've finished my Impulse entry for A Pirate's Life! but have 3 more pieces left that I can use" thread. thats what i was thinking Quote
SlyOwl Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Putting a clear 1x1 round plate on top of the new flick missiles makes a good telescope, without having to go down a many-part route. Quote
El Bucanero Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Interesting topic. Although I think this would benefit from another title though as it could be destracting. One could think this thread would contain some big chrome-gold decorated treasure galleon. I was thinkin of something along the lines of: How do you accessorize your pirates? Quote

That would be a much better title. I keep almost passing over this thread, then seeing that it's in Pirates and glancing in. Quote
QuartermasterRobert Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Alot of Castle and Adventurer accesorites work well with pirates. Sextants, maps, compasses, ext. Castle provides you with extra swords (not cutlasses but hey), and the brown/wodden axes (NOT the dark grey poleaxes) look good too. Backpacks, shovels, picks, treasure chests are good too. For treasure, anything that's a transparent color works well for gemstones. The Ninja line of sets can make some good Asian thugs and pirates with some creativity, and provide you some blackpowder guns in black as well as brown. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 2, 2008 Governor Posted May 2, 2008 Not necessarily, but obscure parts from the pirate line and other parts that could be used (such as tools) in piratically themed LEGO. Well we've had similar threads but this thread has merit and a more relevant title might help. That would be a much better title. I keep almost passing over this thread, then seeing that it's in Pirates and glancing in. Ok, we'll go with Mr Tiber's suggestion and see what that does. Quote
