Yevhen Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=392128 So, can anybody identify the wheels of the truck? What size? They look familiar but at the same time I couldn't find any set where those were used. Thanks Quote
deraven Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 The tires are this part: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=6581#T=C&C=11 The wheels are: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=6582#T=C&C=86 Quote
keymaker Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Those are wheels from set I have in my avatar ;) https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=6582&idColor=3#T=S&C=3&O={"color":3,"iconly":0} Quote
Yevhen Posted March 20, 2019 Author Posted March 20, 2019 (edited) No guys, he's using some other wheels. Otherwise I wouldn't have created the topic. The tires look similar, I agree. But the rims don't fit your examples. I have sent a message to the designer. Interesting to hear his reply. Edited March 20, 2019 by Yevhen Quote
Void_S Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 As the front wheels (not driven) are secured with half-bushes and the rear ones (driven) are with gray pins, I believe that the wheels are illegal combination of the mentioned here tires plus the following construction: Quote

Custom rims. Edited March 20, 2019 by Yevhen Quote
Rudivdk Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 (edited) @Yevhen @Void_SAren't those just the standard wheels seen on set 8828 for example? With these rims and tires? They are the predecessor of the wheels mentioned by @keymaker... Edited March 20, 2019 by Rudivdk Quote

But there is only 1 belt wheel behind each rim, as the pins used are Dark (Stone?) Grey, meaning they are 3/4 pins instead of full pins. Quote

Look at this photo: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3990101 There are no grey belt rims and no pins... I guess he coupled two of 2695 rims. But I still don't understand, why and how he used pins, that are visible from a one side, but not visible from the other side. What do the pins hold? Edited March 20, 2019 by Yevhen Quote

Saberwing40k Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 It looks like for some photos the builder uses standard rims, but then switched them out for custom ones. Void_S gets pretty close, but I think the wheels on the model only have one wedge belt wheel per, not two. Quote
