Excellent! The planking looks perfect, and everything about it just works; I can't see any faults with it at all. It shows what can be achieved in a slightly larger scale.

These two models together would make for a striking display piece anywhere. Good work.

Thanks. I've always felt 8w was really "true" standard gauge for Lego. 6w is just too narrow - you can't do proper interiors, boilers wind up too small, etc, etc.

I never thought of using those crates for under frame detail! I've designed a reefer using a similar "many plates stacked vertically" but acquiring them all takes time...
