pasquentmax Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 (edited) Hello everyone, if like me you dreamed of throwing a die for hours and hours to see if it is piped then this lego machine Mindstorms is for you! 4 throws and read dice per minute, or nearly 6,000 throws per day. Then simply transfer the file to excel and analyze the results! Edited October 7, 2019 by pasquentmax Quote
Jim Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Sweet! Recently I threw away a pair of dice we used for Catan. 3 and 11 came up more often than 6 and 8....every single game. I would have loved to see these tested Quote
BusterHaus Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Great device, I like the simplicity of it. The dice rolling mechanism seems very reliable, does it ever jam? Quote
dr_spock Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 Clever. I thought of designing my own dice where one side is heavier and 3D printing it. This is a good way to see if it makes any difference. Quote

After 12 hours of throws lego mechanics begins to suffer a little and to disrupt. I’m aiming for 24 hours. 2 hours ago, dr_spock said: Clever. Hello, yes you are right, but my essays show that it takes thousands of draws to be sure statistically that the die is unbalanced! Quote
