Balrogofmorgoth Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 Honestly I think Ron should have had the Solo hair piece for years 1-3. And then for year 4 I think the best option would be the piece that they actually used for years 1-2. It’s long and has the curtains and everything, parted in the middle. But now that they used that hair for years 1-2, it would confuse things to use it for year 4 as well. But I do think it’s the best fit from existing parts.

I think the piece they used for 1&2 fits perfectly, Han Solos hair is too long and styled. For year 4 I think snapes might work tbh, or the piece they used in 2010

But I don’t think the 2010 hair looks right at all for GOF. It’s perfect for years 5-7. But I’m GOF his hair falls back in curtains and is parted in the middle. They may end up using Lloyd’s hair like they are for Harry honestly which I guess would be ok. Not perfect but it would work. I definitely hope they use the Snape hair for Bill Weasley down the line
Lego Lad Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 (edited) I have a feeling they are just going to use the same Han Solo hair from the CMF for Ron in these new sets, but what if Lego surprises us with a brand new hair mould for Goblet of Fire Ron? Imagine that lol, I mean last years wave of sets and the CMF introduced loads of new hair pieces so maybe this years wave has a couple of new hair pieces as well? In fact, looking at pics; his year 1-2 hair is actually closer to 5-7 than it was for 1-2, I would just reuse that
Accio Lego Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 On the hair topic - when you look at both Ron and Harry from the last wave of sets you’ll realize that thier hairstyles don’t quite match up to thier SS/CoS looks. Harry’s is just a little shorter and messier and Ron’s is just a little longer. When I first saw Harry’s new hairpiece last year it seemed pretty obvious to me that they were trying to design it to fit as many movies as possible. Really the only films it doesn’t work for are GoF (very long hair) and OotP (very short hair). It doesn’t seem unlikely that they’ll try something similar for Ron (except his odd movies out are PoA and GoF)
Henry Bricklider Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 In regards to hair pieces for future waves: while it isn't accurate, I would like when the theme gets to OotP that whatever face print harry has looks good with last year's hair piece for him because I think that hair piece is a great representation of Harry's hair as described in the books. My biggest problem with the CMF Harry is that his face print does not look with any other hair piece other than the skater boy hair piece. They can give Harry short hair in the sets but I would like it to look good with other hair pieces (if this is too much like wishlisting I can remove it or move it).

The new face for Harry is amazing and his hair in black works. Fleur’s face is meh but I’ll swap it out. Drum looks good too but his face needs a change. Cedric is probably my favorite, I see people using him for custom hufflepuff robes I’m honestly beggining to believe the RandomBlocker again. So far his list has been exact, and he has been right about all of this. But I’ll still have a few suspicions. Either way if that fig list is true, I believe it’s missing figures. Edit- I just realized that Victor and Cedric have the wrong faces. So I’m happy with them overall. Can’t wait for this wave!

GalacticHippo Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 They look excellent! Pretty happy with Lloyd's hair on Harry. I have to say though, Krum still just doesn't look quite right. The rest of them are brilliant though and the subtle criss cross printing on Fleur's shirt is great!
