oracid Posted November 11, 2018 Posted November 11, 2018 (edited) Gato is my project of study for the construction of a quadruped. I have already done some quadrupeds as part of this study that you can see on this forum. To begin this new thread, I propose a test adaptation of a high power RC servo in the world Lego. Unfortunately, the Lego servos lack power for this project. To start, I chose the servo-B7640HV RD-360 JX is a continuous rotation servo. Rather than to make an adaptation box with Lego holes, I had the idea to make a "sock" rubber (NinjaFlex) that wraps the servo and is blocked by contact with the Lego beams. For the blocking to be even more efficient, I increased each internal and external dimensions of 0.5mm. So I can easily adapted to my servo mounting without any constraints. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3208808 Edited November 11, 2018 by oracid Quote
Jim Posted November 11, 2018 Posted November 11, 2018 Interesting! Maybe you have already posted in other topics, but do you print the parts yourself? If so, which printer are you using? Quote

Yes, I print my parts myself with a DiscoEasy200 which is a french printer. https://dagoma.fr/imprimantes-3d.html I am not very fond of 3D printing because not precise enough, even with a good printer. But I made some compatible Lego parts when unfortunately parts are missing. Quote
Jim Posted November 11, 2018 Posted November 11, 2018 I am looking into the Wanhao Duplicator D9 MKI / 300. Since I am also an active boardgame player, I like to create box inserts for storing game components. Most boxes are 28,5 cm wide, so I need one which can print 30 x 30 cm. I won't be using it to print LEGO parts, but when I have one, I could think about printing components for my robot. Quote
oracid Posted November 11, 2018 Author Posted November 11, 2018 I haven't any feedback about your printer. For this printing size I have good feedbacks about CR10S (30x30x40), https://www.gearbest.com/3d-printers-3d-printer-kits/pp_796481.html?wid=1090517 Quote
