Plural Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 I had this the other day as well. My only guess could be that maybe it has something to do with the eBay things listed. Thats just a complete guess though. And I really don't think there is any need for concern. Quote

El Bucanero Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 The title says it all. Why? It's not called the "Pirates" forum for nothing. ;-) That said, I have had such alerts too a while ago. Strange.. Quote
QuartermasterRobert Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 I too have been receiving this message. Could something be wrong with the host? Quote
oo7 Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 I haven't been getting any error messsages of the type myself, but if this occurrence is one unique to recent times I bet it is most likely a result of the eBay affiliations Mr. Phes has arranged. Quote
Duke Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Has no-one looked at the background? There's the fish :P Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 10, 2008 Governor Posted April 10, 2008 How long has everyone been experiencing these Phishing Alerts? Also mention the Operating System and Web Browser you're using. Quote

Governor Mister Phes Posted April 10, 2008 Governor Posted April 10, 2008 Do you remember if this occurred before the Affiliates Program was installed? Quote
Nikola Bathory Posted April 10, 2008 Author Posted April 10, 2008 Do you remember if this occurred before the Affiliates Program was installed? Probably not ( I am still a pretty new member here). Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 10, 2008 Governor Posted April 10, 2008 If it is the Affiliate Program then the short term solution is to add it to Internet Explorer 7's trusted sites. I found this on Microsoft's Official website: https://phishingfilter.microsoft.com/faq.aspx Q. Can I customize a list of trusted sites for Phishing Filter in Internet Explorer 7? A. As an Enterprise administrator or an individual user, you can add your own list of trusted sites for your company or yourself and then turn Phishing Filter off for the Trusted Sites zone. From the Internet Explorer Tools menu, click Internet Options. In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Security tab. Click the Trusted sites icon, and then click the Sites button. In the Trusted sites dialog box, enter the Web site URL (http://ilapi.ebay.com) in the Add this Web site to the zone box, and then click Add. Close the box. Click Custom level... and select Disable under Use Phishing Filter. You may have to scroll through several items. Click OK. I don't have Internet Explorer 7 so I can't test this out. Quote
Capn Frank Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 The title says it all. Why? No, the title doesn't say it all. What's a fishing alert? *blush* I wonder if it's an Internet Explorer thing. P Quote
