Hi! The steering rack in my car went a week or so ago and I've been stuck with no car since, and a £500 bill to pay. I've been selling off stuff in anticipation of the bill as I don't want to dig into savings but also want to eat this month.I was wondering if I sold a chunk of my LEGO sets on my business eBay account would I end up paying tax on them? I am registered as a sole trader and declare my income from that shop as such, but I don't know whether I'll need to declare these if I sell them through the business account. Does anyone here have any advice? I've used this tax calculator and been able to figure out what tax I would pay with the money I'd likely get from the LEGO, which would be a decent chunk of it gone. Should I be paying this?

Sorry if this is a slightly unorthodox question but hoping someone here could answer :)
Thanks!

It might differ from country to country and depending on how you do it. Second hand items are often exempt from tax since you already paid tax on it when you bought it unless you are in antiques or something I would say.
