[MOC] Hammerhead Corvette - Rouge One

[IRONDUCK]

When the first time a hammerhead corvette appeared in the Star Wars universe, it was the start of a fantastic journey.
After the Endar Spire the Hammerhead was seen for the first time by Rebels and in Rouge One it had its biggest appearance so far.
Now the Hammerhead Corvette has earned its place among the best starships.

Minifigures do not fit in ;) It is intended rather as a display than a game model.

Stardestroyer in the same size ratio would fill half of my living room :)

I think I will do the same in the future but with different colors - red and white/grey could also look good.

There is a red and white version of the ship on Rebrickable that may provide some inspiration.

Perfect, then you can fill the other half with another SD to ram the first into 

The Hammerhead on Rebrickable is the older version with only 3 engines and no modules on the sides in front of the engines. I like your Rogue One version much more, especially the coloring. Do you have any measurements/brick count?

Not trying to be a troll but your model is very similar to this version which has been for sale for over a year now. Is this what you used to make your version?

@m4st3rt3ch: the model is 430 mm long (engine to head) 190 mm high (head) and 215 mm wide (extend pods). I did not count the bricks, I just take my boxes and start building 

@ecmo47: Yes, you are right, I was inspired by many sources like: jorsad-design, brickster0404 (lego ideas), flavivsaetivs (lego ideas), JustBricks (youtube). However, I did not like the engines and color scheme in any version or, that so far, nobody has installed transparent windows in the cockpit (just 6091 bricks) .

Also build a Hammerhead Corvette as reinforcement for my mortesv fleet. Based on Jorsad-design with a few modifications to change the colours. I didn´t like the orange, i felt it was not dirty enough for the rebel scum :)
