Pictures of the new Conveyex Transport Set are on youtube for about an hour now which is a nice set.

I´ve built a model of it two days ago.

Because this was my first project completly built with LDD and I´m not very familiar with LDD, I´ve only built the upper half of the train and without any tracks.

The train itself:

UPDATE: Edited Trail and second train (for more pictures look at my comment below)

Looks good, the hyper fuel capsule is a little long, but i do like it better than the official version. Only thing i would change is a proper storage system for the capsules.

Thank you for your advice. I´ve changed some pictures in the main post.

Spoiler

I´ve mixed up the coaxium version from Kessel and the one from the Conveyex.:look:

That looks great, very reminiscent of the movies own storing box.

I love this picture because its so similar to how it was shown in the movie

I really liked this scene in the movie, and i think you did a great job with the transport.

Me too, do you think you could find some way of doing a rail system? I would love to find a way of making the Coneveyex transport be double sided like in the movie, but I'm just not sure if its doable.

I´ll try. Maybe by connecting the two train halfs with Technic-Bar, which go through the rails.

That might work, i will be looking forward to see what you come up with.

I´ve finished a couple of minutes ago. Here are the new pictures:

(I´ve only made one train with two wagons, because I´ve got a very slow computer :hmpf_bad:)

That looks fantastic, very accurate to how it looks in the movie.

I haven't seen the film yet but this design is looking very promising keep up the good work! I would love to see this built and working possibly you could implement Lego Power Functions to propel the train.

Also, can we get some rendered images this greatly improves the looks of the models? I'm assuming you don't know how to do this seeing as you are new to LDD; I would recommend installing Stud.io and then importing the LXF file and using the built in render tool.

Kind regards, Ellis.

Thank you for recomending Stud.io.

I´ve added a new picture rendered with Stud.io in the main post.

Thanks for the kind comments!

i do have a slight advantage- I work for ‘Industrial Light & Magic’ (we do the visual effects on Star Wars) and I was actually in charge of the train sequence, so I have access to more reference than most!)

This model will be going on display in the ILM London office, I’m just working on the finishing touch- adding leds into the cab and track, and linking them to an arduino board to flash them randomly to simulate the track sparks ;)

I also have another large Star Wars MOC, the cargo shuttle from Rogue One, I’ll post thread for that in the next day or two...

Wow now that's an Ace of a 'I built my MOC based on...' card! - still its a fabulous Lego build and I'm not surprised its going to go on display -  would you be able to update with the LED pics as well please? love to see those once done.

Sadly not, I built this entirely manually by trial and error. Working with 3D software all day, I wanted this to be a hands on project.

As promised..now with arduino nano controlled LED 'sparks' and cab lighting...
