Tezclatipoca Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 (edited) Concerning volcanoes and hot water springs Log of Fernando de la Izquierda : May the 10th 618 : Arlinsport, Tiberia. "We arrived in The Royal Society of Natural Philosophy of Corrington just a month after we received their kind invitation. The commitee asked me to present our first conclusions concerning the discovery of a volcano mouth and hot water springs along a river near Jameston. Of course, it is a privilege to be welcomed here and the pressure upon my shoulder is high. I hope this presentation will be a success..." Log of Fernando de la Izquierda, after the presentation : "I was very well welcomed by the chairman Don Isaac Montoya himself, and I saw Dirk Allcock sitting at the first rank. It was impressive to see the best scientists of our time listening my topographic survey and they seemed interested in my final conclusion speaking about a possible thermal spot we could exploit near Jameston... I was very pleased to see that those gentlemen were very open minded and ready to help me develop on this point. I will probably finally find a good way to finance my project here !" Captain Braunsfeld Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 What a fine topic for a lecture - great to see how science prospers through the Royal Society! Quote
Darnok Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Nice little build. But... 22 minutes ago, Faladrin said: I was very well welcomed by the chairman Don Isaac Montoya himself ... I doubt it. Unless I missed something - and I very well might have - Montoya is still missing in the wilderness. @Bregir? Quote

Ayrlego Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 It is indeed a fine lecture with a lot of detail for such a tiny base. As with Spud's build, Allcock will be emerging shortly and would of course be honoured to attend de la Izquierda's presentation. Welcome to the Royal Society Faladrin! Celestia, 23rd May 618 Dear Fernando de la Izquierda, It is with great pleasure I welcome you as a fellow in the Royal Society of Natural Philosophy. It is with great interest that I have read about your descriptions of volcanic activity on Celestia and I hope to visit the site of your discoveries myself one day. Your excellent work during the expeditions on Celestia has been very well received by your fellow members of the Royal Society. It is a great pleasure to see fellows from all nations come together in the name of science and I look forward to continuing to follow your scientific work. Kind regards, Sir Dirk Allcock Quote
