BusterHaus Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 This started out as something called Speed Demon, but I renamed it Drift Demon after building the actual MOC and driving it. The bodywork didn't materialize, but the car did. This project made me realize how far I have to go before I can make a decent bodywork. Powered by: 2 L-motors geared up 3:1 1 servo motor for steering 1 BuWizz unit. The rear suspension is a dragged axle, and each side is mirrored at 180 degrees to save space. The L-motors move with the suspension. Front suspensions is independent. Here is the chassis, it has some elements missing that were added in the rear to stiffen up the frame: A shot from the underneath, although the actual build has some changes: And a video: Quote
TechnicRCRacer Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Wow! Awesome car! The suspension is really interesting and innovative! I also really like the front skeletal design. Now I'm on the edge of buying a buwizz or not... Very cool! Quote
mocbuild101 Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Nice! It's very skeletal, but I guess that's good if it's designed for performance Quote
agrof Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Indeed, great fun machine, I like the minimalist bodywork too! Quote
