HorcikDesigns Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 (edited) I've been thinking quite long, what to build for 40 years anniversary of LEGO Technic, that's why I am slightly late for the party with this model. Then, suddenly an idea was born - build a car that looks like the wedge-shaped supercars from 70'. (mainly because I do not meet large amount of them re-created from Technic so often) Features: full suspension, positive caster angle on front wheels inline 3 cylinder engine right behind seats, single headlamp that will pop out if you push the yellow lever, working HOG with working steering wheel, openable doors and openable engine bay cover with absurdly long exhaust pipes. So, here is my attempt to build it. I hope to get back to this topic soon with proper supercar scale.concept WEDGE by Horcik Designsconcept WEDGE concept WEDGE wedge chassis concept WEDGE Hope you like it.PS: If you want to see another MOC soon, please start following my activity on Flickr. I accidentally met on the street the first generation this week (it is rare in my country) for the first time in person, and I must admit, that these two are really similar. :D Thanks! TechnicRCRacer Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 Wow, I really like this building style! You don't see cars like this in Technic often! Awesome job! Quote
WvG_853 Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 I also like it! A worthy tribute. The funny thing is that it looks as if made with studded lego, while it isn’t! Cool ... Quote
Leonardo da Bricki Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 I love the sharp edges and angles here! But what are the wrapped rubber bands visible under the chassis for? Quote
StudRobotics Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 Really cool! I totally looks like a 1970s Bricklin SV-1. Quote
HorcikDesigns Posted May 6, 2018 Author Posted May 6, 2018 Thank you all! I am glad you like it. :) 10 hours ago, Leonardo da Bricki said: But what are the wrapped rubber bands visible under the chassis for? There was no room for ordinary springs or torsion bars under the hood, so the RBs act like part of suspension. 10 hours ago, StudRobotics said: Really cool! Maaboo the Witch Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 The second image down on the first post looks like a great concept for a futuristic tow truck. Quote
