Well, I did list the cop/policeman, but I didn't count the scientist because that is more of a rumor and we don't know who exactly it is.

Anyway, here is the updated list:

Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, a policeman, Commissioner James Gordon, Bruce Wayne, Alfred, the Joker, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, the Penguin, Killer Croc, the Riddler, Two Face, Poison Ivy, Bane, the Mad Hatter, Clayface, Man-Bat, Killer Moth, and Hush. Plus some kind of scientist.

That makes 24 characters with about 26 to go. Anyone else I missed?

Goddammit! How can I forget all those characters that have been released as actual minifgs?! Alright, here we go again:

Plus some kind of scientist.

I hope that's all of them. Now we know about half of the 50 playable characters in the game. I guess we'll find out about the others when the game finally comes out in 9 days.

As much as I admire your optimism, Oky Wan Kenobie, but as I stated above, in videos and sreen shoots we've seen, at least Joker, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze and Riddler have generic grunt, though I hope the lists of grunts ends there.

Well, apparently the Penguin's aim in the game is to build a massive penguin army, we'll definitely see them. It probably will be possible to play as a robot penguin, just like the mouse droid in Lego Star Wars II.

Hello, I got the new Ngamer today. They review LEGO Batman but didnt say anything bout any characters (secret) but create a character is back, toture style. Also cheeky nods to the 60's show and even TDK. Didn't like the reviewers attitude though it quite upset me a bit to be honest .

I just watched those vids I posted on page 21, and it seems like theres an awful amount of characters that haven't been reveled. From my eyes (which aren't brilliant) I saw what appered to be a guy in grey, a factoury worker of some kind and a guy all dressed in black (who struck me as the leauge of shadows bruce wayne, but im not all that sure) and werid grunts with these hand held helicoptors in the catwoman one.

EDIT: Anyone else got any wishlists for the other characters?

Hush has cemented himself as a worthy and awesome Batvillain with Paul "God" Dini's run in Heart of Hush. I wonder what he'll do in the game? Maybe be a really good shot or something?

I don't doubt that. He's just not a character I was expecting to see. However, if we are getting a lot more characters than we thought, it makes sense.

Oh, that reminds me, the videos. I don't think I got round to watching those.

As fans know, Batman has faced a huge roster of foes over the decades. Traveller's Tales has crammed a ton of them into its latest Lego game, Lego Batman, and we've got an exclusive peek at one of the villains who's made the cut.

Before turning to a life of crime, Dr. Thomas Elliot was a gifted surgeon with a long-simmering rage against Bruce Wayne. The two grew up together, but jealousy and rage consumed Elliot shortly after Wayne's parents were murdered. Over the years, Elliot plotted against his rival, teaming up with some of Batman's greatest adversaries and eventually learning the masked hero's true identity. Armed with that knowledge, Elliot dons a mask and becomes Hush. He doesn't have any superpowers, but his training and determination have made him a particularly tough enemy for Wayne and Batman alike.

Alright, let's sum up the news. From what I can see, there are a couple of new characters here:

Construction worker, SWAT member, lime green gangsters (Riddler grunts?), a guy in purple hat and pants and a green and white torso (Mad Hatter? ), a penguin with gun (I knew it! ).

Also, we can see a lot of vehicles. Besides those that have been actual lego sets, there are many different motorbikes, a police helicopter, a van with green/purple colorscheme, a giant (mechanical) crocodile , and a black & white recolored version of the Aquaraiders sub (Bat-sub?? ).

Anything I missed? Btw, here is another thought: Do we get different iterations of Batman? Besides the classic black & grey version seen on the game's cover and all screenshots & videos, there could be unlockable versions of the Bat like the dark blue comic version or the black TDK version... or maybe a whole new version we haven't seen as a minifig yet.

The Wii preview sounds very interesting. I was thinking if I should get it for the Wii or rather the PS2, seeing as previous Lego titles didn't utilize the motion controls too much, but after reading this, I'm almost certain that I will get the Wii version! Also, it has a very nice pic of Clayface.

Hush is a bit disappointing in my opinion. Sure it is accurate underneath, but TLC's refusal to make a trenchcoat even in the Lego games annoys me. This is what I was hoping for:

I doubt we'll play as the construction worker. SWAT member definitely though, they look great, and I reckon those henchmen are Riddler's. That guy in the purple hat and green/white torso is obviously Joker. I and probably Brainbox too had a geek out moment there, that fig is straight out of The Killing joke:

WHAT!? You don't like the Aquaraiders sub? That thing is one of the best designed subs ever! And I guess it'll be Penguin's.

Thanks! I wondered if it was in that video, I didn't watch it because vehicle levels in licensed Lego videogames don't interest me... He looks really great! Woo! So we get (at least) two costumes for the Joker, it would seem.
