blondasek Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Hello Guys, Do anyone of you made some frame which can "replace" this part?Technic, Pin Connector Block 1 x 5 x 3 To be honest, I am just tired of trying to make it right. I have two of that parts in 42069, but I don't want to disassemble that model. I was trying to find something on google and youtube, but I didn't. Thank you in advance for help! Quote
deehtha Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 What are you trying to build that requires that piece? If its a fake engine, have a look at some of the older studded sets. The ones during the transition from studs to studless might be good, like 8448. I'm away from my pieces right now, but a pair of these might be a good start if you are trying to use the piece for something else. I believe the cross holes should line up with the outer most hols on the Pin Connector Block. Quote
Didumos69 Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 (edited) First seen in Crowkillers models. Or slightly different with a 12t gear enclosed: Edited January 7, 2018 by Didumos69 Quote

It was the only way I could ever figure out that lined up just right. On a side note set 76086 has a bunch of them in black and set 75177 has a bunch in light gray. Quote

JonathanM Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 It uses two sets of 2x1 triangles formed into a kite - the LBG pieces are half connectors so everything seems locked to me? Quote

But even then I wouldn't build an engine that relies on it's own crankshaft to stick together. It would incline unnecessary friction to the crankshaft. Quote

Didumos69 Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 (edited) I made some renders of all variations on Crowkillers frame I know of. Varying from the simple version to versions that enclose a gear (8t/12t, 16t/20t, 24t) to drive the engine. Note that the variations from left to right in the first image correspond to the variations from right to left in the second image. 2 minutes ago, allanp said: http://bricks.argz.com/ins/8422-1 check out the engine of the dragster b model for 8422 released in 1995. Never seen that one before. It's great! The half pins on one side are quite essential. Edited January 8, 2018 by Didumos69 Quote
