sirslayer Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Today has been a very good day so far., My Xl motor was delivered from ToysRUs and it was for only $9.99 which makes them cheaper then the other counterparts. My 42068 Tanker chassis (tm) now its been confirmed that my design upgrades for the chassis is a success and i made a quick video on how it handles the 2 Xl motors.. I swear, it feels like a power drill !!! I also got a solar power panel for some led lights!!! Quote

I install a fake 10 liters flat 6 (to fit scale) with exhaust and a trailer hitch. Quote

Ver. 5.2 Added following: Upgraded tires to 68.7 x 34R, these balloon tires are the next size up from default 56 size. I wanted to do a 4x4 off road Rc version of the Semi-Tractor and the default 56 size tires aren't tall enough for serious off road obstacles if you seen my previous videos on this thread !! Upgraded to 4 way Ackermann steering!! All 4 wheels turn !! (video coming soon)!! Upgrade suspension , yes there is a simple suspension with home made shocks absorber. Its small scale 1/10 from set 42068 (please if i'm wrong can someone correct me) Upgraded varies cosmetic looks and I also added a winch!!! A 4x4 on my 4x4 !! Tires and winch. Scale to chickens!! sirslayer Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 (edited) 4 way Ackermann steering, just like the original set a center beam rocks back and forth to pull/push the steering rack!! look at the rear axles turning angle and a simple differential and drive shaft is installed, i got the U-joints at max angle for steering !! sirslayer Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 (edited) Lego Technic 42068 "Tractor" WIP Using parts from this excellent technic 42068 and upgraded the tires to 68.7 mm, this is my version of the set 42075 b Fire Racer. I also installed 1 XL motor and battery case. Very sturdy shell compared to my Semi-Tractor cab and the "racing looks" and screaming front end just shows how this set is my favorite to mod!!! It sports a n advance 4 way steering (2 way ackermann ) and off road capability with an anti- no gear no tire slipping build in mind. This is a picture of the chassis after many days of off road testing and adjustments. It survived the brutal test by taping a few important elements from the environment which included water/puddles . sirslayer Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Lego set 42068 chassis upgrade This mod would replace the back half of your 42068 chassis and it will still allow the stock boom to be used. this will replace the 4 way steering into 2 way (soon that will be fixed) and you will have 4 or 6 wheel drive awd with generic McPherson suspension on the back. you just need to add your own front axles options. 2 Xl motor for drive 4 wheel drive AWD rear suspension for 68.7mm tires I believe this is the best option for this set since it took many months of trial and error and now it fits on the default wheel base.
