@just2good Is it true that only two sets are planned for LEGO The Powerpuff Girls? I was hoping for more than that, but we'll see next summer.

So, according to the fellow that initially published the set names and numbers, there will be only be two in the summer of 2018. That said, he or she didn't necessarily say that there wouldn't be more... it's also possible that the person wasn't able to see them all.

For the franchise's 20th Anniversary, I wouldn't mind if LEGO made sets based on the Classic Powerpuff Girls 1998 cartoon! We need 1998 variants of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup!

We need a Dexter and Deedee (but that is a different discussion, sorry for off-topic-ing)

@Falconfan1414 Thanks for the set information! I look forward to seeing images  of these PPG sets!

BTW, Cartoon Network made a smart decision with trying to sell Powerpuff Girls merchandise in order to keep the franchise successful. I personally like the reboot series, although I acknowledge its flaws.

I don’t think it was entirely Cartoon Network doing for these extra sets. It seems Lego is trying to use the licenses they got for dimensions

Oh, okay. But since Cartoon Network owns The Powerpuff Girls, I think they would have to give LEGO approval to make a PPG theme.

But if they already got approval because of the Dimensions set.

I understand, but I wanted to know how Cartoon Network’s PPG licensing deal with LEGO works.

It works like a regular license. Cartoon Network owns the powerpuff girls. Lego bought the licenses to make products. They pay Cartoon Network royalties in exchange they are allowed to make/ sell powerpuff girl lego

Okay, now that makes sense. Thanks for telling me how licensing works.

If the summer releases are successful, maybe LEGO will release more Powerpuff Girls sets during the holiday season in 2018. I would love to have Professor Utonium's house with Professor Utonium, all three Powerpuff Girls, Blisstina Utonium, Pack Rat and Man-Boy. It would also include the professor's white car. They would have to take some liberties with the design, like putting the professor's lab on the first floor.

Good idea! Personally, however, I'd like to see sets based on the Classic Powerpuff Girls from 1998, not just the reboot series.

Ohhh boy, this is great!

I hope they'll be a HIM minifigure!

Oh but just2good said those set numbers belong to the minidolls line.

But I don't think those will be minidolls. Heck, I'm not even sure those will be 100% minifigures. I guess the PPG will have a new molded body, similar to the one Maggie Simpson had.

him would be awesome and easy to create and if indeed those 2 sets sell incredibly well more might get released ,

it will be unlikely for them to do the gangreen gang though as there is 5 of them and big billy would have to be a big fig

As long as Him utilizes the extended minifigure arms and legs used for Woody and Jessie from Toy Story as well as crustacean claws used for Davy Jones from The Pirates of the Caribbean.

I also would like to see LEGO release sets based on Powerpuff Girls classic. If they do, it would have to tie into the 20th anniversary re-release of the Powerpuff Girls Complete Classic Series DVD box set.

ok everyone I have a great idea here regarding the 2 sets , buy the LEGO Friends set 41334 andreas's park performance the modify it a bit then you can recreate one of the most famous scenes from the original which is the love makes the world go round scene then stick in a mime minifigure along with a clown then voila
