I seriously wish i had more space...But i'll have to wait until my sister hauls buttock off to college/I get my own house for that...

After seeing 2 amazing Brickshelf Galleries (1 2) i decided i want there to be a rural area outside of albrickuerque, which would require some serious rethinking of the layout to implement, and i've came up with a concept, which unfortunately involves sacrificing Railroad and city size so the city and railroad take up only about 1/2 the table, giving the rural area the other 1/2. It also would elaborate on how trains get to and from albrickuerque, with some track branching out into the rural area and eventually to the edge of the table i'm using (Basically, i'm doing that and pretending it goes to other towns and reigons. Don't worry, i'll stop the trains before they plummet off the table.) Here's a blueprint i've designed:

So, what do you think about this idea? Should i Implement it or keep the layout the same way it is?

build a sort of hill/mountain, put in a tunnel put a sign saying to wherever, then under this hill around your table have tracks leading to the other side and do the same and the train looks like it has just arrived from wherever. did that make sense?

Yes, but i don't have the resources to build a mountain and i don't have enough things i can stack (or baseplaes to spare) to make it work the way Someone suggested in my old topic on how to make mountains...

Maybe i'm just biting off more then i can chew in the first place...Trying to make a LUG-sized display before i'm even old enough to get a job...

Well... the problem is space... and how to deal with that problem

First, check your supply of bricks.. that give's you an idea of what you can or can't ..

By building a multi level train section ( mountains ) you can place more into your layout quite simple, but, as you said, the problem is you don't have the bricks .. well you can fix that by sloping your plates . Make something a base , fix a hinge stone to it, build it to the proper height, there you go, one easely built embankment. ( for the straight parts anyway.

you can stuff any kind of color into it, nobody notice's it ... you can make this into bricks after a while, if you got the bricks.

Personaly, it's maddness just to try this all just for a home made lay-out, make fun, chance it, play around with idea's and see how far you can go ... don't stare yourself blind on everything you see.. your imagination is more important than a neatly made lay-out you don't want to mess with because it's so pretty ;-)

All great builders started somewhere ... this is your starting point.. now reach for the stars !

Greetings, Saint

I mean, i have part of a mountain (i stacked 3 boxed on top of each other then Leaned a baseplate on each box, giving off the impression there's a part of a mountain there)...And i really should go through the big blue bin of doom (a massive bin of stray parts in my closet...6 year's worth of accumulated stray parts in there...) sometime
