xwingyoda Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 Arghhhh laddie Chewie, a really nice treasure you found the !!!!!!! Savvy !! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 6, 2005 Governor Posted June 6, 2005 Once again Chewie, you have done very well indeed! Actually its a mixture of MOCs and actual sets. I think they're playing Evil Stevie's Pirate Game which is a role playing game similiar to Warhammer, except the players obviously use Pirate LEGO instead of miniatures. Could some kind mod/admin move this to the Castle & Pirate forum? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 6, 2005 Governor Posted June 6, 2005 Thank you Master Yoda! I've looked through some of those pictures and the conclusion I've reached is: I should be there!!! Have you looked through the pictures yet? Quote

Governor Mister Phes Posted June 6, 2005 Governor Posted June 6, 2005 How did you come across this knowledge Mr Erao? Were you a participant of this occassion or know someone who was? Or is there a website somewhere that reveals all? Quote
erao Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 In fact, we hold a LEGO exhibition in Taiwan now. It's a club event of TWLUG. This ship is a MOC of a member Brian. Here has more. Quote

erao Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 "We" - implying you're one of the people involved in the event? What does TWLUG stand for? Taiwan Lego UserGroup? Right, I'm one of the TWLUG (Taiwan LEGO User Group). I drive Star Wars in this event. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 6, 2005 Governor Posted June 6, 2005 Mr phes have you ever played evil steves pirate game? Nope! Fraid not. There isn't the population for that kind of thing in my area. Have you ever played it, by any remote chance? Or know of anybody that has played it? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 6, 2005 Governor Posted June 6, 2005 Right, I'm one of the TWLUG (Taiwan LEGO User Group). I drive Star Wars in this event. Do you know who is in charge of the Pirates? And is there any chance of them signing up to EuroBricks? It would be good to have a few more Pirate fans to discuss with - it would keep me out of the other forums! Quote

Governor Mister Phes Posted June 6, 2005 Governor Posted June 6, 2005 Maybe if your friends are starting to lose interest in LEGO you could kindly relieve them of it. Or offer to buy it off them very cheaply. Most of them probably don't know what is really worth, and once they completely lose interest in it, its most likely going to be thrown in some box and stashed somewhere not to be seen in ages. The next time its seen is a few years later when they need to clear out space, so they either do the unthinkable and dispose of it, or if they're more sensible they sell it. eBay has proved very useful for this purpose. But you might as well get in first... However, I don't know how old you and your friends are, or how much they treasure their LEGO so what I just told you could have been a load of bull dust. Quote

I know the chief of pirate and the owner of the great ship, of course. Tell them to sign up here I will. ;) Quote
Norro Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 I've looked through some of those pictures and the conclusion I've reached is: I should be there!!! I can just pictur Mr. Phes walking out with one or two of the large boxes under his coat... :-D ;) God Bless (as always), Nathan Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 7, 2005 Governor Posted June 7, 2005 I know the chief of pirate and the owner of the great ship, of course. Tell them to sign up here I will. ;) Excellent work Erao! Do you have many Pirate sets? Have I asked you before? I've asked so many that question I forget who I've asked. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 7, 2005 Governor Posted June 7, 2005 I can just pictur Mr. Phes walking out with one or two of the large boxes under his coat... :-D ;) God Bless (as always), Nathan Those large boxes are pretty large... A Black Seas Barracuda box is about 57.5cm in length (someone else convert that into the other obtuse measurement system). I'd need to have a very big coat to conceal that under. But maybe I could horde a number of smaller sets instead. Quote

Norro Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 On another note: Does anyone know if the big dark vessel in the pics is an anyway related to POC? God BLESS, Nathan Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 7, 2005 Governor Posted June 7, 2005 Piratical = sneak out with box? Nah! I'd get out my harquebuses and shoot those blocking the entrance. Then I'd draw my rapier be prepared to cut down anyone that challenged me while I loaded myself up with some sets. Of course it would be much better if I had a crew to assist me... Quote
