MagPiesRUs Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Great work, as always, I love the way you make the legs *wub* I made some Teutonic knights myself a while back: Shameless Self Promotion ON! :-$ Quote
Tanotrooper Posted April 8, 2008 Author Posted April 8, 2008 update: Late Roman medium infantry (4-5th century AD) This is an example of the troops that witnissed the fall of the West-Roman empire. reference There were a lot of different helmet types, but this fur cap was also used. TT Quote

Tanotrooper Posted May 3, 2008 Author Posted May 3, 2008 (edited) BIG UPDATE Roman legionary 1st-2nd century AD: Landsknecht: WWII: German Fallschirmjager with FG42: German infantry late war (1944-1945) with StG44/MP44: Things from our own time: jodelling tirol guy :D Thanks for watching! C&C are very welcome! TT Edited May 3, 2008 by Tanotrooper Quote
Dragonator Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 TT, your minifigs are great, and very original! The Landsknecht is very nice, I like the way you gave him a sword holder, and the Roman figs look great! The way you do the legs is particularly neat, it is good to see somebody is branching away from just the plain normal legs. The yodelling tirol guy gave me a laugh. I look forward to seeing more! Wouwie Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 I love the WWII figs! Do you have pics of the guns? Quote
Tanotrooper Posted May 4, 2008 Author Posted May 4, 2008 Thanks for the great replies The FG42 is made of a large Sw rifle and 2 minifig hands, 1 placed on the end of the barrel, and one sideways on the beginning of the stock of the gun. The StG44 is made of a large SW rifle and 1 of those "exo force droid" hands, attached in front of the trigger. This should be unstraight, giving the curved look of the StG44 ammo stock. Hmm... I just realised I haven't taken a pic of the backpack of the German soldier... TT Quote
Tanotrooper Posted June 6, 2008 Author Posted June 6, 2008 Big Update: FROM WWII: having finally recieved my Indy sets, I could finally make this guy: DAK (Deutsches Afrika Korps) soldier with MP40 The enemy: ANZAC (Australia and New Zealand Army Corps) infantry: FROM NAPOLEONIC WARS: L'empereur de la France, Napoleon Bonaparte! French cuirassiers: normal trooper and bugler: Helmet design: reference: C & C are very appreciated as always TT Quote
Bobskink Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 I finally found this topic . Like I said when I saw these for real at a small Lego convention in Belgium, this is great. Very original and very very clever. Quote
Stony Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 My favorite is the one in Lederhosen and a forestman cap. Sparked my imagination. I think I have an expendable dr. Kilroy around somewhere..... Quote
