22kane Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 The Truck 4000030 goes on sale tomorrow (12:00am) 2/9/18 on Walmart.com. If you want one you need to order it quickly once it becomes available. This is the last one of the series and each model has been selling out in under 24 hours. There is a limit of one but it seems people are finding a way around that from what I noticed on eBay not to mention the insane prices people are asking for. Quote
Bricked1980 Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Anyone know if the UK will get these 3 retro sets at some point? Or are they just exclusive to the US? Quote
NathanR Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Lego customer service appears to have confirmed that only 5000 of each have been made. I guess that means these are US exclusives and won't appear anywhere else: https://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-classic-walmart-60th-anniversary-sets-limited-to-5000-each/ Quote

Perhaps the UK and Europe will get a different 60th Anniversary set later in the year. I assume Walmart in the US must have struck up a deal with Lego to sell these 3 retro sets exclusively. Quote
MAB Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 I guess that is the only way to get them sold at those prizes. Make them very limited and make sure people know they are very limited. Quote

According to this listing they have a number that is greater than 5000. Either the Customer Service center got wrong information or they are trying to give out misinformation because they just made as many copies as they could... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-60th-Anniversary-House-4000028-5143-Sold-Out-Unopened-new-in-box/282841733371?hash=item41daae58fb:g:DDcAAOSwicpae4Qk -RailCo Quote

Every one that I have seen is under 5000 except for this one. I was sure they didn't do more than 5000 of each set. So I received the Truck 4000030 in the mail today from Walmart. It’s number is #5174. I ordered it right after midnight when they went on sale. What the hell is going on? Edited February 11, 2018 by 22kane Update**** Quote
Rail Co Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 I decided to contact Lego myself to see if they would give me thw same answer and this is what they sent me... Lego Customer Service by Rail Co, on Flickr Obviously Lego either has no idea what is going on with this promo, or they are made #xxxx till they felt like stopping. Disappointing to not even know... -RailCo Quote
Digger of Bricks Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 This is more pertaining to the Minifigure's 40th anniversary instead of the System's 60th, but hey... Quote

This looks pretty nice, especially the micro scale minifigs. I'm not so keen when Lego make these promo sets and the cardboard packaging is used as part of the actual build though. It's a bit like that Christmas Tree set that was released late last year. The box was used as the shape for the actual Christmas tree and this looks like a similar concept as it looks as if the box makes up the walls of the minfig factory. Quote

Thanks a lot for sharing that! Definitely need to purchase something in April, can’t miss that! It was ok for me to miss the 60 Years of the Brick as it wasn’t minifig scale but this looks fantastic! It would also be great to get those microfigures, one can use it in vignettes and in modulars! Quote
