The original hairpiece is discontinued and will never be used again. The one they have used is the piece that was designed in a similar style to be more up to Lego’s modern hair standards - more crisp and proportionate. also with Enterainter and HP, that’s true they don’t, however it is odd they stock the trivial pursuit and top trumps HP sets. But why couldn't they just have made a freakin' exception or made a new one. :( Draco's hair has been going since at least 2010, and Barty Crouch Jr's has been going since like 2004. Quote

Because the mould very likely does not exist. And these bricktober packs don’t accommodate new moulds into their budget. The hairpiece is basically the same style as Dolores’ hair, and much more proportionate to minifigure style. I personally find the original quite odd looking, a part of Lego’s weird realism phase. LegoSims20 Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 (edited) Actually, after looking at the old and new one again I don't mind the new hair. From certain scenes it does look similar: 1 minute ago, Whovastron said: Because the mould very likely does not exist. And these bricktober packs don’t accommodate new moulds into their budget. Yeah I can see what you mean after looking again. Is it the same as Trolley Witches' @Whovastron ? Edited August 22, 2018 by LegoSims20 Quote

It really doesn't work for Umbridge. Though I have to admit that we're probably lucky to get Umbridge at all, or at least in a venue that isn't $90+ dollars. If I even manage to get new Umbridge I guess I can just Bricklink the better hair piece. Quote

Slughorn looks good. I hope Hooch has a double-sided head for her glasses. Well she is supposed to have that sweet girlish face but the other side of her head is super angry and mean so it’s all good Quote
Falconfan1414 Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Lego tweeted out something else apparently only Harry Potter is going to be available at Barnes and Nobel in the US. It sounds like they are breaking up the bricktober packs between different retailers in the us Quote
topiku Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 The Lego Harry Potter Games will be remastered and published in November for Nintendo Switch etc. Maybe Ollivander comes with a copy of the game? Quote
LegoSims20 Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 I wish they would remake the Lego games one day, not just remaster them. They're classics and I could always re-play them, but Lego games have improved a lot and Lego HP has a improved even more this go around. Quote

TrU would just let me buy it out right. RIP. Quote

I’ve never heard of them doing a “spend x amount to get this free item” although I’ve heard of Target and Toys R Us doing it. Quote
LegoSims20 Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Hmm, Umbridge still looks off to me on closer inspection. I'm glad her legs are printed and not a skirt piece, though. I kind of wish they had made a printed skirt leg for the Hogwarts uniforms (although that would have caused issues due to skin tone) but I don't like how they can't sit with skirts properly.. Quote

With Umbridge I think it’s the face prints. I think it’s very satisfactory (I’m just so glad we’re getting this variety of minifigs), but it’s not perfect and I think that’s what makes it look slightly off. I like the expressions because she’s supposed to have that sweet girly smile as the books describe but also the mean face. It’s just something about the style looks a bit off. I absolutely love the torso and legs on her Quote
Robert8 Posted August 22, 2018 Author Posted August 22, 2018 I'm surprised to see they didnt include the crow mold to go with Boggart Snape's hat. But they all look great Quote
BaneShake Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Since I have the old Umbridge (me? subtly showing off? never!), I'll use the old hair on the new one if I pick it up. Quote

All opinions are perfectly legitimate, and it's clear when someone is voicing an opinion. We don't need to qualify every single line with "I think, I think, I think" for others to know that it's an opinion. What's so wrong with disliking a set, that others swoop in as if they've been personally insulted? I share a lot of @LegoSims20's sentiments about the micro-scale Hogwarts set. LEGO has made a choice as to what to release as the big UCS, and it's fine to be annoyed if you don't like that choice and the outcome. On the other hand it's fine to weigh in with healthy debate too and share an opposing viewpoint - but instead of that some people seem to take one person's opinion as a personal attack and therefore spew personal attacks back. Sadly those people have ruined it for everyone and I'm going to lock this topic for a bit for everyone to go away and cool off. I will say just this, people didn’t go after Sims for his opinion on the set, moreso how he portrayed that opinion & his feeling as towards the designer. Now, personally I’m a bit bummed to see the HP Bricktober pack is available at B&N...because my local one has a terrible selection of LEGO...if I could buy a book to get it, that wouldn’t be a problem! Huigberts Builds Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Does anyone know where and when to get the Bricktober packs in the Netherlands? Since last year they were released thhe same week as in germany, and since that's next monday this year (I think) I'm slightly worried we don't have any information yet. Our Toys''R'Us doesn't even have the new HP sets and I think we don't even have a B&N, smyths and target. Quote
Elrond Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Definite buy for that set. I didn't buy set 4737 (Quidditch Match) when it came out and by the time I was finally ready to get it, it was going for an insane price on Bricklink so I never got a Prof. Hooch minifig. Same thing with Umbridge, although I despise the character (like I think everyone else does), it's still a welcome addition. I absolutely love the fact we're getting a Slughorn minifig, the character was really missing from the original waves of Harry Potter sets. Not so crazy about the Snape-boggart though, that's the second minifig we get of that and it's way more representation than what that particular scene deserves imo. It's well-made but still a wasted spot. I'd rather have had a generic death eater instead or a new Bellatrix. Quote

I've emailed them yesterday asking about if the promo will also be in the Netherlands (especially since the Dutch branch is run from Germany), but I've yet to get an answer back. Quote
