Lt. Veers Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 The story: The Princess has been captured again! Can the Knight save her? The Vig: Birdseye view: The Dungeon: The back: Comments welcome. *knight* *skull* Quote
El Bucanero Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Why do those bloody princesses always get captured!! *sing* :-D Interesting work, Lt. Beers. A very simple but yet catchy vignette. My only complaint would be the knights helmet. This one seems more like a general soldier to me. I would've use the point visor or grill helmet. Just a tip ;-) Is the black thingy next to the princess a stove? Looks nice! Quote
aayla-secura Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Thats a very nice Vig mate ;-) Especially what Miiiiissssssssssster (:-D) Tiber said - its the simple effect what does it to such a great vig :-) Quote
TheCloneWalker Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Hold on... according to Murphy's law, a guy with a mushroom on his head should have appeared and said "Your Princess is in another Castle!" Great vig. 9.5/10 Quote

Asuka Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 A very neat vig indeed, although that cylinder with dome top and the round plate looks a little strange, perhaps some more wooden looking brown could work better.... 8-| Quote
Lt. Veers Posted February 10, 2008 Author Posted February 10, 2008 perhaps some more wooden looking brown could work better.... 8-| Yeah, I know, I just couldn't find the right piece in a the right color. But you have to admit the black pieces make it more dungeony. Thanks! *y* Quote

iamded Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Nice 'lil vignette, so dark and gloomy. X-D The axe makes an ideal weapon for the skellies too. *y* ~Peace Quote
Johnny 5 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 The large use of black goes nice, the heavy use of silver on the soldier is a bit overwhelming. I agree with the others that a different helm would have done the trick. Solid vig though 8/10 Quote
Batbrick Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 (edited) Nice vignette Lt.Veers, I like the simplicity and action in it. The cell is simple but a great touch, and i like the battle scene! Batbrick Away! >:-) Edited February 11, 2008 by Batbrick Quote
hollisbrick Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Nice Vig, simple yet perfect! *y* *sweet* Quote
Cardinal Brick Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 It's a good little vig and well posed. I'm not as sure about the level of black as other people, I think it might be better if there was more contrast between the skeleton and the backdrop of the bars, it blends together a little to much (though I haven Quote

Cardinal Brick Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 I kinda meant for the skeleton to blend in with its surroundings. Kinda like some kind of Castle Age Camoflouge. But thank you for your input! Thanks to everyone else, too. Ah, the Veers actually it's a very good idea, didn't realise it was the intention to blend away but it's a good idea. Quote
