Hello Memers,

I have build a big VW t1 Out of 90% normal bricks, and 10% new technic. The van has RC driving and steering. In the front headlights, there are legfo led's

The size is Lenght 53 cm, With 22 cm, Height 18 cm and weight 4,2 kg. I dont know the building time, because i have build the moc over a few months a few hours every week. I started with the chassis out of technic beams, and go from there. Build and taking it apart untill i had the shape i wanted. The chrome pieces are origional lego chromed bricks and parts. Chromed by a factory witch is specialized in chroming plastics..

I would like to say thanks to Edwin Korstanje, for his advise how to bend the rigged hose in the right shape, and to Jaap Technic for making the stickers. Hope you like it. feel free to comment.

Fanastic looking model.

What is the technique you used to form the rigid hoses? (I use a hairdryer to heat them up in the desired shape and then cool them quickly under running cold water)

BTW: It probably belongs in the scale modeling subforum.

Wow! Amazing. Would be interesting tobhave a side by side picture with the equivalent Lego Creator set to get an idea of the scale.

The 10220 i have yet to build ( again ), but i have a picture of the 2 axle caravan. The caravan is the same size as the 10220 t1 van. So you have idea of the size of my moc. And i dont know if it should be in the scalemodeling forum. I will read the rules of that forum comming week to find out..

To make the chassis with technic beams ( not the old style bricks ) whas a challenge. It took al lot of attempts to make the connection with technic beams and normal bricks.. Finaly it succeeded.

I used the core of a hard sollid electric cable. Did it in the rigged hose and bend it in the shape i wanted it. It whas told to me how to do that by Edwin Korstanje..

It is in a display case in the livingroom..???

Such ingenious idea can be expected from Edwin, you have only to look at his ships - like they are out of this world

Nice van! Lego-man could now rent it for the marrige or other celebrity.

How about adding the 3-rd axle like in limousines?

Thank you for helping out with the rigged hose. It truned out nice, but i am not very happy with the pictures. I know now that not only the build of an moc but also good pictures make the model stand out. So this week i look in to that. And i dont know how to place it from here into the scale modeling subforum..

Very nice creation. I am not entirely sure about the front of the vehicle, but the rest is spot on.

Tnx. the front has took me the most of the time to build. I have tried it on many different ways. With rigged hose, flex axles, but this is what i came out with, time afther time. it is the best way so far. But maybe someone on EB has another idea, then i always look in to it and improve it. Tnx for putting the moc in the scale modeling forum.
