SirNadroj Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I bet he'll get a pretty penny for that, now that they're sold out! ;-)
Capn Frank Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I bet he'll get a pretty penny for that, now that they're sold out! ;-) No kidding. I was too slow at purchasing it. 8-| Hopefully the scalpel and syringe will be available soon. *wub* P
Joey Lock Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I think it would be Funny if the Medic figure comes out within a Month in store :-D Then whoever has one keeps boasting "I got a limited edition" and they realise all there friends have them to. Thats a Idea though... Sell your last one for a high price then sell alot more lower prices. Good Profit!
tedbeard Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I think it would be Funny if the Medic figure comes out within a Month in store :-D Yeah...right...um, I guess you missed the whole concept. Will made 30 of these by hand using custom decals and accessories he produced using a hand abs injection system. He isn't going to make any more and he is not trying to rip anyone off. How exactly could they appear in a store? What store? I think you owe him an apology.
Doctor Sinister Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Yeah, I agree - I think that comment was a little too cynical - it's been made clear time and again that these figures will never be available again. I think it would be cool if Will did a special limited edition minifig once a year - just imagine how much a complete set would be worth in twenty years' time! (No, I don't own a Medic, I was too scared to pipe up) Dr. S.
the enigma that is badger Posted February 8, 2008 Author Posted February 8, 2008 (edited) I think it would be Funny if the Medic figure comes out within a Month in store I can assure you that this is not the case. As has been stated, these figures made in very limited quantities, and given the time, labor, and resources that went into their production, they will never be made available for sale again. One additional figure has been set aside for the brick auction at Brickworld, but this is the last time the figure will be available to the entire community. The only items that might see at least limited production are the scalpel and syringe, but even those would be produced solely on Will's home CNC machine in limited quantities. Both Will and myself highly value the good reputation Brickarms has garnered in the MOCing community and will never mislead or distort the truth about future plans Will has for Brickarms. badger Edited February 8, 2008 by the enigma that is badger
Brickadier General Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 (edited) Wow, $41 already, and 7 days left. I won't be bidding, but this will be an interesting auction to watch. Let's start setting final bid predictions shall we? lol I'm going to guess $110. What did the original retail at? Edit: O.K., so I lied. I just bid on it, but only because I know I probably won't be winning. :-D Edited February 10, 2008 by Brickadier General
tedbeard Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Let's start setting final bid predictions shall we? lol I'm going to guess $110. I will say $87. What did the original retail at? $20 (+ $5 P&P)
Cardinal Brick Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 For myself I can't see it going much higher than $60. Though it wouldn't be nice to get my hands on some surgical implements the price is far to high for me.
Brickadier General Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 $20 (+ $5 P&P) That's not bad. Darn, I would have gotten it for that if I was aware of it when it came out.
brickbitz Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 I had this in my watch list. $162 dollars X-O , which according to ebay is about
