JimBee Posted July 5, 2008 Posted July 5, 2008 I put my SW figs on display oon my dresser, and my IJ and Castle figs ont the ground near my window. Same with all customs that arent SW. Fortunatley, my cat leaves them alone. All of my loose minifig parts go into ziploc bags, and into a wooden box that I made. Quote
Skull-Mark_Ladybug Posted July 5, 2008 Posted July 5, 2008 (edited) Any minifig or minifig pieces I have, I store away in a large tray unsorted (shown below) until I need them, then I take the needed parts out leaving the rest until I need them later on. Still a good portion of my minifigs are scattered about all over my bedroom floor, or are in displays/MOCs//sets until I decide to take them apart and put them back into the tray from where they came from. Eilif Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Neat topic, I don't know how I missed it before. Alot of my minifigs are stored with my train club module, but of those that aren't: I put all my town, aquazone adventureres, arcitc, batman, western, and spongebob minifigs on 4 32x32 basplates that are stacked on a frame made of technic bricks Pirate, Castle, space, Ninja and animals are bagged together by type and stored in two plastic shoeboxes. Star wars figs are in a plastic bag which resides in a slightly battered vintage "Return of the Jedi" lunchbox (thrift store $.50) All minifig accessories, headgear and extra body parts are sorted out with similar items into about 25 Akro Mills drawers. OCD completionists would not like my collection. I have some figs that are stock, but generally I mix and match at will, with the object being to have as many unique "everyday" type people for my town layout as possible. Adding to this is the fact that I get alot of my figs and parts used (bricklink, thrift stores, etc) so I just piece them together at will. Quote
Norrington Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 (edited) Anywhere and everywhere. More than once I've found them where I least expected them (like the TV cabinet.) It's crazy. My soldiers remain in fromations, as do the crew of my ships. Edited July 15, 2008 by Norrington Quote
commanderbly42 Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Mine just stand around near their respective sets, or sit or stand (whichever works) inside them. So no, they don't really get stored in a special place. Quote
The Brick Rat Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 All of my Batman figs (both stock and custom) are displayed on shelves. I've found several different wooden silverware/storage trays that make great minifig display shelves. Eventually my Indy, Spider-man and Star Wars figs will get the same treatment. I also display figs in vignettes. Most other figs are stored in Sterilite 3 drawer units according to theme, but I'm not very strict in this regard. For instance, HP and Spider-man figs with generic torsos can be found in the Town drawer and figs with Jedi torsos can be found in the Castle drawer. For the OCD types I'm afraid that many of my figs have mixed and matched parts so often that they have multiple personalities. Quote
darkrebellion Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 (edited) All my minifigs are displayed with their respective sets so the sets look complete and if they come with just one minifig I put it in the cockpit. Edited July 16, 2008 by darkrebellion Quote
MoonCheese Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 I think mine are just in various bags and boxes. For a while, I had 64 minifigs arranged on the Lego Castle chess board though. Quote
